Unfortunately our rather young dryer broke recently, and we had to invest in a new one. We wanted a decent sized one with the front opening and not too many whistles and bells--just the basics. This unit does the trick, and it works VERY well. This unit seems to dry in half the time as our previous one. It's more than roomy enough for what we have to dry. Our biggest items are usually quilts; we don't do too many jeans or heavy stuff--just big and bulky bed linens. It works very well, and you can even put in a tennis ball with things like quilts (to fluff they up while they dry) and it does NOT pop this unit's door open! Load Capacity More than adequate for our usage. Whatever fits in our top loading washer fits in this dryer. In fact, I think this dryer would half almost 2x what the washer does, but space is needed for fluffing and even drying. It can handle in one load, easily, 10 pairs of pants, 10 shirts, underwear, and a few hand towels. Quick drying, too! Performance Much, much better than our previous model, and that one wasn't even that old. I hope this one lasts us for 10-15 years! It has just enough heat settings and other variables to make it tailor-made to each load, but not too many choices that you get confused. Not too much to break down, either. The less the better for us in that sense! Heat is ample and it dries quickly and evenly. Heat sensors must be excellent because thick things and dry ones have no problems in the same load. Ease of Use Very, very easy--even my husband and teenaged boys can use it with ease! Not too many settings or choices, so you just select what's most logical, close the door, and turn it on. All done! Durability I hope it lasts a long, long time! Design Basic and good!
