This mascara was not what it claimed. I had to spend far more time than typical on my mascara application to get it to look even 1/4 of the thickness of my other mascara. Performance It didn't go on well to thicken or make lashes appear longer or bigger or fuller. Then, it sure didn't look like I had spent any time applying by the end of the day. Ease of Application Well, if you only want a little bit of mascara, I guess this would work, if you already have long, dark, thick lashes that really don't need much help to be that way. I don't try to make my lashes look fake or make them thick with mascara that can't be easily taken off. I'm all about the easy. If I can put it on with just a couple swipes, it's good. This isn't it. And, if it lasts for the most part until the end of the work day, it's good. This did neither.

This product is amazing! In a few seconds my lashes are long and lush with no clumps. I've tried several mascaras and this one is the best for making lashes full and long. The other day I even had a waitress compliment me on my eyes and I know it was because of this amazing mascara. I really like that it doesn't take long and it doesn't take much for great results.

I am not a fan of Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara Triple Effect Waterproof, and I will not purchase it again. One, I'm not wild about the applicator, which has a row of very short bristles, presumably to load the lashes with product, and a row of longer ones, to distribute the product, volumizing, lengthening, and curling (the "triiple effect"). The longer bristles don't work, however, and I just ended up with major clumps, insignificant lengthening, and zero curling. Two, the formulation is prone to clumping, even when I avoided the short-bristled side of the applicator or even when I used a clean brush that I know to be effective with an effective mascara. I prefer length and definition over volume, and I prefer ANYthing over clumps. So, even though this Almay mascara seems waterproof enough, I used it exactly twice before dropping it in the recycle bin.

I bought this mascara on sale for a really great price at Walgreens. What I really like about it is the applicator, I haven't ever seen another one like it. It has two sides. One side has longer bristles - I think it is supposed to separate the lashes. The other has really short bristles. The shorter bristles seem to apply the mascara thicker. I always use the short bristles first, dip the wand back in and then use the longer bristles. I love how the mascara looks right after applying it. It goes on smoothly. I hardly ever notice any clumps. I like the volume and length that it gives. The only thing I don't like is that after several hours I end up with smudges a lot of the time. So I find that I have to be more careful about touching my eyes and that I check in the mirror more often when wearing it. It is definitely not very waterproof, even though it says it is, so I never use it when I would need a waterproof mascara. All in all, for the price, I think it was a good buy. I'd love to see this applicator used with a better formula of mascara. If you had this applicator plus a smudge-proof mascara, it would be perfect.

I had read on a blog some pretty good review about Almay Cosmetics, so next time I needed to buy mascara, I thought that perhaps I should try Almay brand mascara. I chose Almay One Coat Nourishing Mascara Triple Effect in Black Brown. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed in its results. It definitely was not the worst mascara that I have ever used, but it came nowhere near to the best. As far as this product goes, I think a better brush would make all the difference. The brush is very odd. It does not have bristles 360 degrees around it, like most do. In addition, it had almost no lengthening effect and did very poorly as far as separating the lashes, which I really struggled and had a hard time with. One positive thing that I can say about this product is that I liked the shade of Black Brown. It did not appear too brown like other mascaras in similar shades have come out. So as far as the shade goes, it gave pretty natural looking results.

I bought this mascara because our family was taking a trip to a waterpark and I didn't have any waterproof mascara.  And it was on sale :).  I had never tried any Almay products before.  On first impression, I was not a huge fan.  I expected it to last a full day at the park.  We were there for three days, and every time I came back to a mirror, I had to reapply.  The mascara wasn't completely gone, but it had lost about fifty percent of its color.  So I'd slap it on.  Again.  And again.  However, after I got home and wasn't using it in water every day, I started to appreciate this product.  If you're not swimming, but just using it for everyday use, this is a great product.  It is a nice, basic mascara.  It gives you some volume and length, it isn't cakey, and I  think it gives a natural look.  I ended up using the whole tube and am probably going to repurchase.  OH!  And the best thing is that it's easy to remove, unlike a lot of other waterproof mascaras.  Thumbs up.

I bought this mascara when I bought my Almay Smart Shade foundation and intense I-Color shade pallet. This mascara is such a great compliment to the shadow combination. I was skeptical that no mascara could actually have sparkles in it and could enhance the natural sparkle in your eye like they say on the commercials. I'm glad my skepticism was wrong and I was gladly surprised that the advertisement was true. I always wear 2 coats of mascara. The first coat is for length and volume (which I use a different one for) then the 2nd coat is this mascara in which I use to add sparkle to my lashes, extra length, and one by one separation. This Almay Intense I-Color mascara is great for one by one definition of the lashes. How I do know there is actually sparkle in the mascara is one night I was washing my make up off and as I was washing my mascara off with a cotton puff and there was fantastic sparkle on the cotton ball. I was very surprised but amazed and happy to see that. I will continue to use this fantastic mascara!

Mascara is the one beauty item that I cannot leave the house without. Having mascara on my eyes makes me feel pretty and confident. Without mascara, I look plain, and I feel like my face is naked. I've tried many different kinds of mascara- Covergirl, Maybelline, and a year ago I tried Almay for the first time. I instantly fell in love with it! This One Coat Triple Effect Mascara glides onto my lashes very easily. I can literally SEE my eyelashes grow longer, thicker, and darker as I apply this mascara. The mascara doesn't clump if you're applying it to clean lashes. It does clump a little if you're re-applying the mascara the following day (because let's face it- we don't all get to shower every day, so sometimes we have to add new makeup over the leftover makeup), but all mascaras do that. I love how cleanly the mascara applies to my eyelashes, and the mascara never comes out of the bottle clumpy. I gave my friend a tube and now she is hooked on this stuff, too. It's great mascara- try it!

In my search for the best mascara that does it all, the **Almay one coat triple effect waterproof mascara** is one of the few mascaras that multitasks. This mascara builds, extends and curls your eyelashes all at once, plus it's waterproof and safe for sensitive eyes (which I have). I find that the best way to use the Almay one coat triple effect waterproof mascara is to first curl your eyelashes, then take out the mascara wand and wipe of the excess mascara (that way you're not putting too much on your eyelashes, which makes them super clumpy). If you take a look at the mascara brush, you'll notice that one side has shorter bristles and the other side has longer ones. For thicker lashes, use the shorter bristles and gently wiggle the brush from the base of the eyelashes to the tips. Then use the longer bristles for a second coat. If you only want to use one coat (I don't like to have super thick lashes) so only use the longer bristles. Do the same thing, wiggling the brush from the base to the tips. This mascara really holds a curl and definitely is waterproof. I have cried many times with this stuff on and it stays!
