Not a bad stock pot, but not a great one, either. The metal handles (as well as the handle on the lid) tend to heat up quickly, and if on a higher temperature, the bottom can scald quite easily. But, if you're just starting out, you could do worse. I recently purchased the All-Clad Stainless Steel 8 Quart Stock pot and I have to say it is amazing. The stock pot is beautiful! It is a must for a gourmet kitchen. This is the stockpot that you bring out in the fall when you are going to have company over for a nice chowder, soup or stew. The crockpot is large in size, and because of that it is not necessarily an item that you will frequently use, unless you typically cook large quantities of food frequently. Doesn't Stick When making soups, stews or chowder I have experienced zero sticking issues. Heat Distribution I have experienced zero heat distribution issues while cooking with this stock pot. Ease of Handling Obviously this stock pot is large, but it is not heavy. It is ease to handle and easy to store. Ease of Cleaning This stock pot has been very easy to clean. I typically do not put this item in the dishwasher because it is so large, but cleaning it by hand is not a problem not a hassle. Design Very beautiful piece of cookware. Durability Extremely durable.
