I have been using the full version of Photoshop CS3 since I do some graphic design and I use this for my digital scrapping as well. I recently purchased a scanner and got Photoshop Elements 5 with it. So I thought I would try this program out and see how it compares to the full Photoshop. I was thrilled with the photo import and organizational tool--and auto red-eye fix is awesome! the organization thing organizes photos in a variety of ways, I chose by date since I scrapbook chronologically. For you digital scrappers out there, this program is so worth the money--and I'm sure the newer versions are even better than this one. Great for editing and cropping photos and placing all your digital backgrounds and elements together along with text. It even comes with some scrapping items. Take some time and play around on it to learn the different tools and menu options and I know that you will love it. There are also online classes you can take at places like Jessica Sprague.com if you want to dig deeper.
