The best contact lenses used so far!

5

Having been a contact lenses wearer for nearly 6 years, I have just this past year switched to the Acuvue Oasys contact lenses brand. Although I was somewhat hesitant at first to use this product, (as switching to this brand would necessitate a steep increase in price, considering this is a higher quality brand and also I would be using the one-a-day packs) it was not soon before long where I realized the difference in quality. No longer were my eyes constantly drying out. These were also certainly easier to insert as well. Also, my eyes did not feel as strained or tired after wearing these for the whole day. Occasionally, however, I find that my eyes do dry out a bit, but only after having worn them for excessive periods of time, which I do not recommend. Overall, I think that these are a better, and therefore, healthier choice for our eyes. I suggest that anyone with dry eyes or astigmatism switch to the Acuvue Oasys brand and try it out to see the difference it makes.

Dries out and blurs quickly

My optometrist prescribed me these contacts. I cannot stand these contacts. This contact dries out and blurs my vision very quickly, making them rather useless. They are good because they can correct astigmatism, but they are not very wearable.

Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism worst lenses I've ever worn

1

I've been a contact lens wearer for 26 years, and the Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism are the worst I've ever had the misfortune to put into my eyes. I've worn the various Acuvue model lines of toric disposables for 10 years, and never had a problem with any of them. My doctor recently switched me to the Oasys, and I can't wear them for more than 2 hours without getting the bloodshot/sticky eyes indicative of conjunctivitis. I put up with this for 2 months because I honestly thought I had to be allergic to something else. Dumb on my part, I know, but like I said, I'm a long time lens wearer and I've NEVER had this sort of problem with any lens! I did notice that things were sharply focused when I wore these, but that's hardly worth it when a couple of hours later you look like you've been on a 3-day bender. If you can wear these without a reaction, great. If you notice a redness/soreness/stickiness of your eyes a little while after you've put them in, IT'S NOT IN YOUR IMAGINATION! You are one of the many people that are allergic to the materials Acuvue is using in these Oasys lenses, and please schedule an appointment with your eye doctor immediately.

Oasys for astigmatism is great!!

5

I have struggled with trying to wear contac lenses for years. The best fit for me is a mono fit but even then, my vision was not as clear as I felt I could achieve. My optometrist is great. She will give me trial pairs until we find the correct lens that works for me. Unfortunately, my eyes seem to change from year to year. Last year, after extensive questioning, she decided to try me in this Oasys Acuvue contac lens. My vision cleared immediately and I can wear these lenses most days with no issues. The feel of these lenses are light, so it isn't necessary to continue applying drops as I have had to do in the past. These lenses are good for two weeks, but because I don't wear them every day, I can usually stretch them to last a month. They clean well, and I have very little issue with them tearing. For me, this particular lens has worked very well and I would recommend them as a good alternative to wearing glasses.

comfy contacts

When i got my eye exam for getting contacts the Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism Contact Lenses was the presciption that the eye doctor recommended the eye doctor said it was better than the Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism which i was currently using. The eye doctor said that it was better for my eyes and said that it breathes better and some other things i forgot. I was hesitant to try something new and i though it would be a bit more expensive but i am glad i decided to listen to the advice and wear them. They are just as comfortable than the Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism which i was wearing and cost about the same price. I'm really not sure why they sell them if these seem to be the replacements for them. They are pretty darn durable and i have not even torn these contacts before unlike the Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism that i was using. These don't hurt my eyes unlike some other brands i have tried.

LOVE these Contacts-Just Wish They Lasted Longer

4

I have been wearing this brand of contacts for almost 8 months now.  These are definitely the most comfortable contact I've ever worn and I only have few occassions of blurred visions with them, which is usually attributed to my eyes being dry or when I first wake up.  I love that these contacts are so comfortable that you cannot feel them in your eyes.  These contacts are so comfortable that you cannot feel them in your eyes.  Also, my vision is much better with my contacts than my glasses and feels like my natural vision (before I needed contacts/glasses).  I have almost completely given up wearing my glasses since I started wearing these contacts, with the exception of several days here and there.   I wear these contacts continuously for 6 days rather than remove them each night.  Everytime I have tried to remove these contacts at night to rinse/store them until the next day, they end up with small tears or small pieces of the edges missing (like a small bite has been taken out of the edge) which makes them impossible for me to wear without great discomfort.  These contacts are so soft that you cannot rub them, only rinse, which is still causes enough damage to mine that I've never had a pair last for 2 weeks.  I have already gone through 8 boxes (4 boxes per eye) within the past 7 1/2 months and I have 6 more boxes on the way because I only have one pair left.

I love these contacts, they just don't last

4

I started using these contacts about a year and a half ago.  I was SO happy that Acuvue Oasys had a type of lens for astigmatism, because I really wanted acuvue oasys.  My eyes are prone to being bloodshot and sometimes get irritated by contacts, so I was really excited about this, because they are supposed to be more breathable for eyes. These lenses do feel GREAT.  They feel so fantastic-like air.  They almost feel like you aren't wearing contacts at all.... for the first few days you wear them.  Then, they get little slits in them that are very uncomfortable.  This happens to me every time and I have not found a way to avoid this (if you know one, please let me know!).  They never hold up well for the entire two weeks they are supposed to last.  If it weren't for that, I'd be behind these lenses 100%. The bottom line is these contacts are great.  They feel wonderful.  They even feel so light and breathable that you don't even notice you're wearing contacts.   My problem with them is they don't last as long as they're supposed to.  I do recommend these lenses to at least try them.  Get a sample pair from your optemetrist! :)

Oasys contacts are durable and don't dry out

5

I have been wearing contacts for over 10 years now and have a hard time finding contacts that are both durable and breathable. It seems that you don't usually get both. If they are durable your eye can't breathe and if they stay moist they rip very easily. I usally end up with a contact that I can't rip and my eyes are dried out by 2 pm. I stare at a computer all day so it makes it even worse. My eye doctor recommended these because they fit my needs - durable and breathable. I couldn't be happier. I thought for sure I would rip them in no time because they are very thin and flimsy. I have been using them since May 2010 and have not ripped one ...yet. I have very long days with my contacts - usually from about 4:30 am until 10 pm and my eyes don't get dry. Every once in a while when I go too far past the recommended by my doctor 2 week wear, my eyes will get a little dry at the end of the day. I just use that as my indicator that I am ready for a new pair. These are great contacts and I am so glad I switched. The negatives - they are very sticky and sometimes hard to get off your finger and into your eye and as with most contacts - expensive.
