I love these!

After I changed my lenses after I had a bad experience with the Acuvue Oasys Contact Lenses. I stayed within the same brand and I don't regret trying these! I've been using these for over 4 years now and I can't think of anything to complain about. I use these some times even 2-4 days after each other and they still don't feel dry.

Dont' love them at all

I have been wearing contacts for almost 30 years. I was using Acuvue Oasis and found they were so dry by the end of the day I had a hard time getting them off. My eye doctor had me swith to the Acuvue daily's and I loved them, about 1 1/2 years ago. I just reordered another years worth since I had such great luck with them, but these are not the same contacts at all. I don't know if they have changed, but the ones I just got feel great for about 2 hours, then they start to dry out and get uncomfortable. My old dailes could be removed easily and reinserted if you got something in them, but these new ones are toast the minute you pull them out. Yesterday, I got a little eye lash in my eye and needed to remove my contact for a minute. As soon as they were out, they folded in half and stuck together forcing me to get another contact and throw the used one away. I was prepared to use a new contact daily, but these rip easily and fold together so I am actually going through more than one pair on some days. Stay away from these and get something that is better made.

A huge mistake

I have been wearing contacts since I was 15 years old. Over that time I have tried a number of different types of contacts, mostly from Acuvue. I had been using 2 week contacts for years, but because I have very dry eyes and bad allergies my eye doctor pressured me into switching to Acuvue 1 Day Moist contacts. She told me they were much better for people with allergies and your eyes got more oxygen and whatnot. I tried them for a week without issue- I didn't like them quite as much as my old contacts, but there wasn't anything particularly wrong with them. I ordered a 6 month supply. They cost a fair amount more than my old contacts, but my eye doctor insisted they would be better for me. Shortly after that I went on a month long vacation to the UK. On the flight my eyes started hurting like hell. I could feel the contacts in my eyes- and they hurt. Things improved slightly over the next few days, but I could constantly feel the contacts in my eyes and they dried insanely quickly. I was using rewetting drops about once an hour (and yes, I was using a new pair every day). In the end I spent a fortune buying new contacts while abroad (the same ones I had been using before switching). I ended up throwing nearly a whole 6 month supply away- they were that bad. Acuvue 1 Day Moist contacts are by far the worst contacts I have ever tried. In addition to causing me pain- I thought they were poor quality. In the few short weeks I used them, I had 2 or 3 tear.

Acuvue Moist is a comfy lens but a little hard to handle

This was the first lens trial I tried and they were really hard to get in at first.. they tend to stick to your finger and are very thin and pliable rather than holding their shape during insertion and removal. Once in they are exceptionally comfortable and I have worn them up to 14 hrs without any drops or discomfort. I was also able to wear them a second day no problem. When taking them out (and sometimes before they go in) they typically fold completely in half and sometimes this is easy to get undone and sometimes its a real hassle. They are not overly fragile though and this did not damage the lens in any way. It's just a hassle. Ultimately I decided to go with the Acuvue Trueye as it is just as comfortable for me but holds its shape better making it an easier to handle lens.

Decent contacts

My optometrist had me try a bunch of different contact brands and this was the final one. It was either Acuvue one day moist or no contacts at all. Contact lenses tend to slide around my eyes and never stay in place. Either that or they'll irritate my dry eyes and I have a hard time taking them out. I am glad I gave these a try because they fit better than most of the other contact brands I tried. I even tried the regular Acuvue contacts and these were far better. They seem to not dry out my eyes as much as other contact lenses, but I still experience them sliding around my eyes. Even though I haven't had a perfect fit with contact lenses, I prefer these over glasses. I wish they weren't as expensive.

It's okay...

I've been using contact lenses since I was sixteen. I usually buy the Acuvue Hydraclear Oasis for my daily use of contact lenses. I have naturally dry eyes, regardless if I wear my contacts or not. I was planning on going to a long trip to South America, and I went to the store to buy my contact lenses, but on a whim I decided to also get a box of the Acuvue 1 Day Moist. It seemed convenient, not having to worry about contact solution etc. When I first wore them, I could barely even feel it in my eye, and I absolutely LOVED it. As the hours wear on my eyes started to dry out, by the time the third hour came around I had to use my eye drops and I was using the drops once and hour.  By the time the sixth and seventh hour rolled around my eyes were so dry that one of the contacts fell out. If you don't have dry eyes, I would recommend these, but if you do have dry eyes, skip this product and go with something else.

The only contacts I will buy now

My eye doctor recommended Acuvue 1 Day Moist.  They were a little pricier than my past lens but I decided to give them a try.  And I am glad I did.  I am able to wear them all day long and under normal circumstances, not use re-wetting drops. I must divulge, I am not a daily contact wearer.  I typically wear my glasses, unless going to the beach, doing something in which my glasses hinder my sight (like getting a haircut- I hate not being able to see what they are doing!) or just feel like a change.  So daily disposables are great for me, as I only wear my contacts maybe 5-6 times in a month - more in the summer.  Even so, i have had a problem with feeling like my eyes are always dry.  This is not the case with Acuvue 1 Day Moist lenses. They are easy to put in and take out.  Like I said, they keep your eyes moist all day long - and I have a desk job sitting in front of the computer.  They "case" they come in is very durable as I keep a couple pairs in my purse, sometimes for months on end and the container doesn't rip or pop open.   I have been wearing contacts now for 20+ years and this is the best pair I have used.
