I purchased the Actron CP 9575 Auto Scanner to check to see why my van check engine light constantly popped on and off. The first time I attached the device to my van I ran through the initial setup but it got stuck on the communicating with vehicle screen. I tried repeating the process several times and the results remained the same. I decided to check for a software update because I experienced something similar with other electronics. I was able to download an update via USB to the scanner and that fixed the problem. This device displayed a full reading of all of the issues with my van, but the codes and language used was very vague. I had to look up the codes on the internet and was able to diagnose the problem within a few possibilities. Besides figuring out my system issues I was impressed with the additional information this device provided on my vehicle's health. I would definitely recommend the Actron CP 9575 Auto Scanner because it is the same type of scanner that most auto mechanics use to diagnose a problem and it pays for itself after a couple uses.
The Actron CP 9575 Auto Scanner OBD is a fantastic product. It is extremely high tech, and will meet all the demands of the current auto specifications. This model pulls codes quickly, and gives descriptions that are more than subtle. It will also list all the specifications of the sensor (i.e. rpms, ohms, voltage, etc). The readings are extremely accurate. I have used this on a daily basis, and it has yet to fail me or mislead a test. The construction of the Actron CP 9575 is very user friendly. The buttons are all located in plain site, and are placed in areas where the most used ones will be easier to get to. The screen displays data well, and will not vanish in direct sunlight. The battery life is pretty standard, and batteries are easy to replace. The unit is light weight and easy to hold over long periods of time. Overall this is a great OBD reader. I would recommend this for the professional or the home mechanic.
This is a great little gadget to keep in your arsenal of auto repair products and tools. We have three vehicles and at one time or another one has a check engine light or another problem popping up. A lot of repairs you can do yourself on your autos if you know what the problem is and with the Actron Auto Scanner you can find the problem quickly. It has over 15000 codes stored in it to solve any engine problem. It has three languages as well. It works on vehicles from 1996 and up. If you have to take your car to a repair shop they charge you to do the scan. This way you can do it yourself and save money on that and if it is an easy repair you can do it yourself. No need to have the repair shop charge you for unnecessary repairs or scans. You hook it up and it retrieves and stores the data you need, you can even test your emissions to see if they are okay for inspection. It is a little expensive but it is really worth the money. Add this to your garage today.

I bought this after I realized that my car was not going to stop giving me problems anytime soon. It's an older car with a lot of quirks and the check engine light likes to come on very often. I found myself going to my local auto parts store at least once a week to have it hooked up to their diagnostic machine. It got to the point where the staff there expected me and knew me on a first name basis and that was embarrassing. With the Actron CP 9575 Auto Scanner, I can hook it up to my car and get a diagnosis list from the privacy and comfort of my own garage. The scanner is easy to use for even the most beginner user and the LED Screen is bright and easy to read. Sometimes it misreads the diagnosis but I can't say that every scanner similar to this one doesn't do the same thing. However, for the price (which I feel was a little steep) I don't think I should have to worry about errors. All in all, this is a great little device and serves it's purpose quite well.
