Seems like fairly solid construction. Keyboard is quiet. Track pad is a tad sensitive but I've adjusted how I use the pad with my fingers. There is a button to shut the pad off should you decide to use a mouse. Processor is fast, and, as advertised, fires up to 2.5GHz+ when doing processor intensive things. Did run a few low graphics intensive games and it did a fairly admirable job, though definitely not on high settings. Wireless-n has been solid. No mute button on the console, which is something I like, but not a big deal. Screen is bright - brighter than expected - though does have a low viewing angle from the top - and the screen doesn't tilt as far back as my old Dell laptop did. So you really have to be pretty square in front of it. I'm not a huge fan of the outer blue plastic, but, hey, I don't look at the back of the screen when I'm using it. The matte finish on the touchpad and handrest is smart (not like the HP's which show fingerprints VERY easily). Overall, great value. Time will tell on durability (I'm hoping for 1.5-2yrs).

I have owned the Acer Aspire 5920 for about  a year now.  It never gives me any problems with booting up or connecting to the internet.   I have used it for programming, web development, checking email and surfing the Web.  I recently lost the power cord for my Acer but was able to get a replacement very easily.  I have used a variety of different programs on the Acer.  Mine did not come with Microsoft Office, but I was able to easily download Open Office for all those applications.  I have used a variety of browsers and each worked well and the screen resolution was sufficent to allow me to see everything. The only problems I have experienced with it are those common to laptops and batteries.  The battery life is not as long as I would like at times.  Also, if left on for extended periods of time, I have had to remove the battery and replace it to get the laptop working.  Other laptops I have had have experienced similar problems, so I assume that these battery issues are common to most if not all laptops.

I recently bought the Acer Aspire 5920 laptop computer and I have to say that I am very satisfied with it.  It is equiped with a built in webcam,wifi ready and came with enough games to keep the average computer user happy.  Rarely does it fail to quickly move from one screen to the next.  There however are times when the system freezes and you have to shut it done and begin again.  I would say that that is the only downfall to this system.  It is very bothersome when you are in the middle of doing something and you have to click out of it in order to complete your project.  Other then that the system is very easy going.  I love the key board because the keys are spaced just right where your fingers don't have to do to much work.  The icons are also large enough for you to see without have a microscope.  Even though I don't use it, it's nice to know that if I want to I can hook up my bluetooth to it also.  I have turned on the webcam and the graphics are amazing.  The picture is very clear.  I would recommend this laptop to everyone.
