It was convenient.

Very nice computer overall. It was easy to figure out with great graphics. Nice tech support and quality for what you buy. Great monitor, very sleek and dependable, a Display Quality Great display quality and graphics. Wonderful color. A must for any starter gamer. Compatibility I was also very pleased with the compatibility of this computer, it was very nice. Very nice indeed. Ease of Use Very easy to use, it's not hard at all. I'm not very good with computers myself, but it made getting rid of viruses, cookies, and every problem, it was easy. It was also convenient. I could set up accounts, passwords, everything. All very simple. My 10 year old brother could set up his own account on the computer, it was that easy.

Acer H233H Razor Sharp

5

This Acer LCD monitor model H233H has a razor sharp image. It has an attractive design with convenient touch controls. It has full 1080P resolution with HDMI connection. Stunning razor sharp image when connected with HDMI cable to a blu-ray player or PS3. One major disappointment is the black level retention. Forget about viewing a true deep black on this display. You will only see varying shades of gray. In fact at times when the screen is supposed to go black you will see what can be described as light leaks around the perimeter of the screen. So if this is important to you such as in viewing hi-def movies you will want to look elsewhere. As a computer monitor surfing the web, working on spreadsheets, viewing and editing digital photos I find this monitor virtually flawless. Viewing angle is typical for an lcd in this price range. You will want to stay within a few feet left/right of center and up or down for optimal viewing. Again this is fine for typical use as a computer monitor but lacking for movie viewing by multiple people. Update: I have been using this monitor for several hours a day every day for over 2 years. The black level retention is not an issue for my use as a computer monitor. The display looks as good as new. Very happy with this purchase. Display Quality After two thousand hours of use the display is as good as new.

Excellent Monitor

Its a monitor that performs well at a great price. You can't find any different product that provides the features this bad boy does at the price. I know the brand is not that famous for high end stuff, but don't be deceived by the brand. Sometimes the best products are made by the underdogs. The monitor provides powerful graphics performance with 40,000:1 contrast ratio that radiates the brightest whites and deepest blacks. The large screen size with the added widescreen format provides for ample space to view you most desired videos, pictures, and even those corporate documents. The monitor offers a quick 5ms response time that reduces deviations in transition time to deliver high quality moving images such as movies or slideshows. There are a number of connection points that is offered with this monitor from the standard HDMI (at least in this age it is standard) that provides 1080P High Definition picture and sound quality, DVI connection for those high quality connection to the computer with up to 1920 x 1080 resolution, and of course the standard VGA connection. As a added bonus, the monitor comes with two integrated 1.5w powerful speakers. I love this feature because you don't have to spend extra cash to purchase a separate speaker system. Also, you don't have to find extra room on your desk for the huge speakers boxes. The bad things about the Acer H233H is that it lacks ergonomic features. You can barely adjust the monitor to fit your viewing needs (height, swirl, etc.) Also the monitor is heavy weighing in at roughly 10.8 pounds. But hey, good price, good specs, and oh and did I mention it meets Energy Star standards to help you reduce cost of operations. Highly recommended.

Best Picture

5

I needed an upgrade for my monitor at work.  After checking out several different brands and their prices at various stores I chose the Acer brand at Best Buy.  It had great reviews online and was very reasonably priced online.  It arrived quickly and was easy to set up.  It is amazing how big the screen is.  I can litterally work on four things at once when I need to.  The picture is huge and very easy to see.  I like that even when I get up from my desk I can check the computer screen for items when I am across the room.  I also love that on the monitor itself there are easy features.  It can auto configure, has an input device and has an awsome menu selection that helps me configure the brightness and contrast for myself. I would suggest this monitor for anyone who works on multiple things at a time.  It is also great for people who have trouble seeing small words on the screen because you can increase the viewing font size to help read while online.

Quality monitor!

4

I've been using the H233H for nearly a year now, and I have few disappointments about this particular piece of equipment. It's an excellent 1080p display, and it works well not only for my PC but also for my Xbox 360. It feels big and just works exactly how I need it to. The only downsides are the HDMI sound output (which I honestly expect, simply because in-monitor speakers are generally low-quality) and the touch-activated buttons on the front of the display. The response time on these buttons tend to vary; they tend to be a bit finnicky and won't respond when I want them to. In addition, when the monitor goes on stand-by, it takes forever and a day to "warm up" and actually activate, which can be something of a chore. Despite this, I highly recommend this monitor to people looking for a quality 1080p computer monitor without taking too big of a hit to their wallets.

This Acer 23-inch LCD monitor has good picture quality

4

When researching what computer equipment to purchase when our last computer died, I talked to some highly trained tech people at work. They all recommended an Acer for the monitor. So I bought the Acer H233H 23-inch LCD monitor, and I've not been sorry. I ordered it directly from Acer and received it quickly. It was packaged good and was easy to set up and use right away. The picture quality is very good and the large size makes it very easy for me to see very detailed drawings - such as construction drawings. I use AutoCad programs with it and the quality is good enough that I am not hindered trying to see the small details in the drawings. I think, at this point, that the Acer monitors seems like a high quality monitor that is durable and will last as long as I need it too. Of course, it will probably be outdated long before I'm done with it! This is my first experience with Acer, but coupled with the recommendations of the tech guys at work, I would recommend their products to anyone.

Did not realize how much I was missing!

We had our old monitor for about 7 years.  The Acer computer monitor showed us two things.  First, it takes up so much less space on the desk.  What used to be a barely big enough desk for the monitor now has about a foot more room on it.  Secondly, due to the wide screen playing games or surfing the internet has a whole new look.  No longer is the screen crowded with open windows overlaping each other.  There is room to be able to have a few programs open and see them all. The clarity of the colors is amazing.  As is the brightness that isn't blinding or hard on the eyes.  When first looking for a monitor the Acer computer monitor seemed like an unknown.  However, it has lived up to the highest of expectations and more.  My eyes no longer are tired after looking at the screen, reflections do not cause so much of a nuisance, and you can actually see what is on the screen from across the room (if needed).  I love the flatness of the monitor, how easy it was to hook up, and the sleek design of it all.  Definantly a good buy and would do it again in a heart beat.

Acer monitor good for the price

4

Bought this monitor a year and a half ago and it recently died on me. The power button fail and now I'm stuck paying shipping to ship it back to acer for repair. I use this monitor for web browsing, high end video games. Great monitor in my opinion with no dead pixel's. This has a great contrast ratio which was the deal breaker for me. The menu is user friendly which is great for the electronic challenged. 1080p is a great for all the games and blu ray movies. Built in speaker are not that great but what did you expect from monitor speakers? They are meant for low sound not for awesome gaming or theater quality. Acer support was horrible and took me a while to figure out how to apply for a RMA. I can't believe the charge per minute for technical support... WTF? Now that I experience that I rather buy another monitor from a company that is there for thier customers no matter how big or small the problem might be.

Good Monitor

4

Now a days, everyone wants a large monitor. And why? Because they're not only good for gaming, but give you a lot more space on your screen that can be used for productivity. This monitor is GREAT just for that. Because it is a widescreen, 23 inch monitor, I am able to have two things opened at once side by side. This is especially useful if I have two Microsoft Word documents open and I want to compare them / make revisions. As mention before, big monitors are nice for gaming. This Acer widescreen monitor happens to be adept at such. It shows color beautifully with no ghosting and keeps up with the fast pace environment that is gaming. One thing worth mentioning that is a negative to me at least, is the fact that this monitor uses touch controls rather than normal buttons. I put more faith in real buttons since they have less of a tendency to act up or just generally malfunction. As you may have guessed, this monitor is also good for movies. If it's on sale, I suggest getting it for sure.

Pretty good monitor, but there are better

4

The Acer Widescreen LCD monitor is a good monitor that gets the job done. The HDMI port allows me to play my video game systems like my PS3 or Xbox 360 on it, and the built in speakers just makes it easier to coordinate (no need to plug in additional speakers or sync it with your computer speakers). The quality and visual display are excellent, and the size is perfect for gaming usage or just for browsing the internet. It is not too big or too small. There are two downsides to this product though. You cannot really control how quickly you want to change from HDMI to DVI or vice versa. You just have to click the button once and wait for the computer to change from each input (it'll stop on each available input). For example, say I have my computer on and my PS3 on. I could only click the button once, and it would pause at DVI 2 for a few seconds to see if anything is plugged into it, then it would go to HDMI. If my PS3 wasn't on, it would pause at DVI 2 for a few seconds, realize that nothing is plugged into it, pause at HDMI for a few seconds, realize that nothing is plugged into that, and then finally go back to regular DVI mode which my computer is plugged into. I would have just preferred hard buttons or at least buttons that allowed me to change from HDMI to DVI quickly instead of waiting for the monitor to check and recognize each option. Also, there is a bit of a lag after your computer screen is on it's saving energy mode. It takes roughly 7 seconds for it to realize that you are shaking your mouse to finally come out of it's energy-saving mode and turn back on. A good monitor, but I recommend getting a Samsung instead.
