The idle temperatures and noise are almost negligible on this card; so is the power draw. It's got good performance rivaling a HD 6850 at stock, but has more overclocking headroom so that this card wins when both are maxed out. The really good thing about this card is how quiet the fan is, so even when overclocked the card is quiet and the fans are kept below 65%. I eventually traded this card in for a 6850 because I needed three-screen monitor support, which unfortunately this card did not offer at the time. But if it weren't for that, I would have kept it. They did a good job with the "DirectCU" copper direct-contact cooler which is better than standard coolers that have less-conductive metals getting in the way between the hot GPU and the heatpipes.

Recently picked up the Asus engtx460 1Gb Geforce GTX 460 video card and must say I am completely blown away by the performance of this card.  Every game I have tried it with can run at 1920 by 1200 resolution with all effects turned up to full and I don't notice any lagging at all. Installation was simple and the driver loaded without issue from Windows update.  The driver disk included with the game was in a pleather CD Disk case that was actually fairly nice and was embossed with the Asus logo.  Not really a necessary item though as I typically do not keep driver disks. This card is extremely quiet and runs cool enough, even when playing high graphics games.  Output on the card is to two DVI connectors or to HDMI. There are adapters included for VGA as well as the DVI to full HDMI connector if that is what your monitors are currently running.  In addition to this there is an adapter for two 4 pin power connectors to a 6 pin power connector that plugs into the card itself if this is necessary.
