after caming from the ati x1950xtx since 2006, I was quite amazed by how the technology has advanced during the years. the asus gtx 460 1GB came with a big box made of recycled materials, it has two dvi ports and one mini displayport, it also came with converting adapters: dvi to vga and dvi to hdmi which I find both comes in handy. This card is DEAD SILENT, I'm already quite used to the turbo whirling sound from the x1950xtx and was astounished when I started my first game, IT IS STILL SILENT AS HELL! It came with 'SmartDoctor' utility wrote from ASUS itself. Essentially, it is a monitoring software and enables you to tweak your card on the fly, it has graphical friendly user interface to tune up or tune down your card according to your need. One big plus of the card is its placement of the PCI-E power feed. The x1950xtx has one port on the back, this has two ports on the top, this facilitates you to do a better job with cable management.
