9 lives canned cat food

4

9 Lives is a decent canned cat food. They have a huge variety so any cat, no matter how picky, will like something. They have flaked foods, nibbles, chunks, pates, food in gravy, and combinations of flavors. My cat has an easier time eating flaked food so that is usually what I buy him. He has enjoyed the flavors we have bought so far for him and usually finishes his bowl. There is a bit of a stink when you first open these, that is really my only complaint. Quality of Ingredients The food itself looks pretty good, no discoloration or anything like that. There is a bit of a strong odor when you first open these cans. Other than it appears to be of good quality. Flavor Selection 9 Lives has a pretty big variety of flavors. They have chicken, beef, turkey, tuna, salmon, shrimp, and other seafood's. They also have some with added cheese and egg bits in them. There are so many to pick from that you will have no problem finding one your cat will like.

Tried & True Product

Affordable. Kitty-approved. Tons of flavors. These are the words that best describe this 9 Lives product. Sometimes Ms. Kitty even has her hands full when buddy the dog tries to eat her food...what can he say it is so good? I like the fact that you can purchase this wet cat food at reasonable costs. I do not give it to Ms. Kitty every day, but maybe three times per week. I mix it with her dry food, and it is a very special treat indeed. All of the ingredients inside are of a fairly good-quality, although there is a high amount of fat content inside. It is for this reason that I do not serve it more often than what I do, because Ms. Kitty and even Buddy would eat this non-stop if I let them. Quality of Ingredients It is a cheaper product but the ingredients are not to bad. Flavor Selection There is tons and tons of different flavors to choose from with this product. Your cat could eat a new flavor for a couple of weeks with the selection that is offered.

Not for finicky cats - seems lesser quality than others.

Our picky cats won't even finish eating this unless we mix it with dry food for them. Cheaper than most but you get what you pay for. Quality of Ingredients Looks and smells FUNKY - our dogs love the leftovers! Flavor Selection Only one kind of super supper that I have seen but then again we haven't been looking attentively as our cats prefer Friskies.

Good as long as your cat isn't sensitive

4

My family fed our outside cats 9 lives and they loved it. As soon as they heard the can, they would come running and it always seemed to be fine with their stomachs. Our inside cat must have been more of a sensitive eater because when we gave it to him, he would throw up every last bit of it. We had to switch his food, but it was still good for our outside cats so as long as your cat isn't too sensitive i would recommend it.

A favorite with my cats but not the best quality

My cats love what doesn't seem to be too good for them, and this is one of those cases where I'm reminded of the fact. They would eat this food every day if allowed to, the taste never grows old with them and they're always eager to get it, but I don't feed it to them often because it is one of those foods that has bother a high fat content and you can tell used a lot of animal by-products. It also gets to be too much for my older boy if he eats this too often; it has made him a bit ill in the past if I offer him this food more than a few days in a row; so I'm guessing there is too much fat as he is very sensitive to that in his diet. My younger girl eats it with no problem, but she is also much more active and has no stomach problems. Okay for an occasional treat but is not a food I would give to either of my cats as a standard meal. That being said, I don't think the food is actually harmful to either of them, I just don't think it's very healthy either compared to even some of the other cheaper brands of wet food out there. Quality of Ingredients Cheap, by-prodcuts and a lot filer; it's not a very healthy choice if this is all you're going to be feeding your cat day to day. Flavor Selection Standard range of flavors, but most of them look and smell about the same as each other to me.

inexpensive and the cats love it

I have 5 indoor cats and an indoor dog, so I'm always looking for a good deal on pet products.  I usually feed dry cat food and then give them some canned wet fools for a teat.  They really do like this stuff. Well 4 out of five like it anyway.  One of my Siamese cats just tries to bury it, but he does this with a lot of foods.  The rest of the all gather around the plate and gobble it up.  The dog wits not so patiently for the cats to be done so that he can get a little taste, too.  This cat food is really inexpensive but the smell is not so great!  It is not a bad as the fishy varieties, but still not good.  And the smell of the cat litter box after they have digested this stuff is just horrible!  Overall it is a good food if you are looking for something inexpensive.

Try and Buy! It is so worth it. Im not buying much these days. Ofcourse i could buy cheaper foods for my little kiki. If I can make her happy by buying Tender Nibbles with Real Beef in Gravy. Then Im going to try and buy as much as I can for her! Thankyou.

My cats LOVE 9 lives Super Supper

5

While I can not personally attest to the flavor of 9 Lives Super Supper, I'm currently living with five furry friends (inlcuding the new one who dropped by for Christmas and never returned home) and each and everyone prefers the "Super Supper" flavor to all the others with the exception of 9 Lives"Chicken Dinner". I feed my cats dry food as a diet staple and supplement with the canned food. They consider the moist cat food their "treat" for the day and become very demanding around sundown when they get their "treat". I've offered various flavors and some they actually turn their noses up at and I end up throwing it out. But they never leave even a smear in the bowl when I serve the "Super Supper" so I've taken to getting only that and "Chicken Dinner". For my part, I choose 9 Lives after my veterinarian suggested brands from companies whose business is pet food rather than store brands. Those tend to have more nutrition and less ash in the make-up...better for my babies. So I started getting 9 Lives since their business is pet food and at the same time it costs less than other brands. And of course, my cats LOVE 9 Lives Super Supper.

9 Lives Super Supper is great for finicky eaters.

My old cat we had was very picky. She would only eat 9 lives brand wet food, for the most part. She'd occasionally eat something else, but for the vast majority, she'd want something from nine lives, as she only liked particular flavors. She was something else. On another note, this flavor is one of the ones that she absolutely adored. It stinks to humans, but to her, it was a heaven. This particular version has to be opened with a can opener, we used a hand can opener for we wouldn't stink up the opener that we used for our normal foods, as that would not be pleasant. This food is nutitionally complete, but as the other reviewer said, I'd agree that it has a few too many fillers, however that doesn't detract that it is filling for the cat, and the fact that she loved it, even if the smell wasn't quite appealing to the human sense of smell. I'd recommend **9 Lives Super Supper **to any person who wants to try a different and inexpensive food for their cat.****

No More ' CAT'ASTROPHY with 9 Lives Beef & Gravy

5

Don't tell me that cats aren't finicky because they are stubborn & finicky.  I own two adorable felines  one of which is a very gentle Ocelot who lives to eat.  His name is Miracle and he has been with us since he was six weeks old.  He is loving and sweet (everything the books say that he shouldn't be) but you don't want to mess with what he wants to eat.  I don't own an alarm clock and don't need one since we took Miracle in.  Every 5 AM when I am in the deep of sleep, he goes under my blanket and bites my feet and toes until I wake up because this is the time is stomach is yearning for food.  I spoiled him by feeding him *9 Lives* since he was a kitten.  His favorite being *9 Lives Real Beef Slices in Gravy.  *Over the last 5 years there have been times when I couldn't find his favorite dish so I tried to substitute with whatever else was on the store's shelves.  On these few occassions I learned what a CATASTROPHY really is.  Miracle actually placed his little bottom on his dish after I gave him something else to eat (litter box worthy?)   and on top of that he would bite me again when I walked by...Making sure I realized not to serve him that odd food again.  He would whine and meow all day until I would serve him his  favorite food **9 Lives Real Beef Slices in Gravy!**  Even if I tried to give him a less expensive brand of Beef slices in Gravy...He would refuse to eat and start biting and whining and following me around.  He is very smart, so now if one store does not have his brand I go to another and be sure to bring it home to him!
