I have a few of the 10 Minute Solution workout DVDs, and the one I purchased most recently was the Pilates DVD. This gives you a great stretching exercise, and I feel like it really does a great job of keeping my muscles feeling long and lean. There are 5 different sections of 10 minute exercises. I typically pick one different exercise section to do each day, but sometimes if I have more time I will do a few of the sections to get a better workout. It's so convenient that this is only 10 minutes because you can do this first thing in the morning or right before you plan to go to bed.
The instructor on this DVD really does a great job of explaining the moves to you. If you aren't too familiar with Pilates you can still do this DVD because everything is made so easy to understand. You will see results relatively quickly after you start doing this pilates workout. Your results will be even more noticeable combined with healthy eating.
Fast and effective.
I really like the 10 Minute solution work out videos. I am 46 years old, work full time, and don't want to spend hours at the gym. This particular video, the pilates work out, contains five 10 minute work outs that are easy to follow and effective. You can choose to do one or more of the workouts depending on how much time you have, and what body part you want to focus on. The workouts include abs, buns and thighs, flexibility, sculpting and burn. I also like the instructor, Lara Hudson. She is attractive, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic without being too bubbly or intense.
I would recommend this video to someone who is looking for a low to medium intensity workout, not for people seeking quick results, trying to build muscle or get into tip top shape unless you plan to do more than one of the 10 minute workouts at a time. I personally use the 10 minute pilates exercises for maintenance and to keep my body toned.
My go to workout!
I love short workout videos, because with 3 kids at home, there are times when 10 minutes is all I can devote to a workout. I have rheumatoid arthritis and find high impact exercise extremely hard to get through without feeling it for days. With this 10 minute pilates, I feel stronger and refreshed after the workout. I love the targeting, as I enjoy pairing them up for a complete workout. I typically do abs 3 times a week, burn 2 times a week, and rotate the others in for an extra workout. There are many times that I really need some stretching in order to be able to sleep. The flexibility workout is a life saver for anyone struggling with arthritis. I have it memorized from daily use. It is a relaxing workout, but I know that it is also strengthening my joints and muscles. I have found this workout video to be extremely effective in trimming inches off of my mid section while pairing it with a low impact walking routine. Not only do I feel better, but I know that I am doing something great for my health! Lara Hudson is also a fantastic instructor. She keeps you moving, but also offers a sense of peacefulness. Great choice for beginners or someone looking for a low impact routine!
Oh, my aching everything! A challenging five segment workout
**Quick View:** If you are serious about shaping up, this DVD will help you do so FAST. I was and am in pain every time I do the workout but it's a good, "I did something for my body" pain that makes me feel like I didn't waste my time. A very solid five segment workout.
**Full View:** The set is a typical hard word floored, bare bones one with a circular rug and a mat. Nothing fancy. The entire workout is bare bones as far as frills go but when you work as hard as you will when you do these segments, you don't need, and wouldn't notice, the little extras that some workout videos and DVDs throw in. Taught by Certified Pilates instructor Lara Hudson. **The Workout** This DVD is broken up into five 10-minute segments. You can mix and match which segments you want to do, or do all five for a 50-minute super challenge. Anyone familiar with Pilates will be familiar with most of the moves on this DVD. Most are classic, tried and true Pilates postures that look graceful and easy but are really very tough and target specific muscles while always using your core (area around your abs and back) muscles to stabilize you. **The Breakdown** *Abs* This is all very standard Pilates work which includes the famous "Pilates 100." You work your abs in a variety of ways, all on the floor on a mat. Several of the exercises may be too tough for beginners and there are no modifications shown.
*Buns and Thighs:* Again, more classic Pilates moves. This segment is done on a mat as well, using leg circles, inner thigh lifts, leg raises, and more. Be sure you have plenty of room because you will be on the mat and swinging your legs from side to side sweeping the room.
*Flexibility:* This is a series of moves designed to elongate the muscles and give you enhanced flexibility. Some of the moves are downright impossible at first try. Again, these exercises are mat based.
*Sculpting:* You need a set of light weights for this segment. Lara wisely advises using two to three pounds weights. I used five. As a result, my form was not as good as it should have been and my shoulders took a hit. Heed her advice and don't go over three pounds. You want to sculpt, not build, muscle in this segment.
*Burn:* This is a fast paced 10 minutes Pilates aerobic routine. It's done mostly on the mat and can be tricky as it moves very quickly. You may want to watch the segment the first time before diving into it. You definitely will feel the burn and your heart rate will accelerate as you move from posture to posture. For this reason, I suggest you choose this work out first rather than later on. Once you get your heart rate up and are all warmed up, the rest will flow better, in my opinion.
**My Viewpoint **If you enjoy Pilates, you will like this DVD. 10 minutes isn't much time to target your problem areas but Pilates is very effective. The versatility the DVD provides is most welcome to anyone with a busy schedule who may only have 10 or 20 minutes to squeeze in a workout. The postures are challenging, the pace is fast, and there is very little in the way of "fun" on the DVD but it is meant to quickly and efficiently target areas and get you into shape fast. I believe adding this DVD to your workout collection would be a great move. **This is a 5 star DVD despite the lack of frills.** It's tough but it's worth it to see fast results. Just start slow and build up. I did the whole thing the first time and felt like I needed a body cast after. Don't make the same mistake. Ouch!

Pilates fast and efficient with a great instructor
First of all the intructor Lara Hudson is great. She explains everything very well she's motivating without being annoying and the pace is perfect not too slow not too fast. This DVD is divided into 5 sections of 10 minutes that you can combine (if you want) to get a longer workout. This is great because you can easilly fit 10 minutes in a very busy schedule. I tend to do mine just before breakfast so I'm barelly awake to finf an excuse to not workout!
The first segment is abs, you will see the hundred, rollup, double leg stretch, criss cross, scissors, corkscrew, double straight leg stretch, rollover, spinal twists and the teaser. The hundred is the one you will love or hate but it is so efficient The second segment targets the lower body. The third segment is called Sculpting Pilates you'll need light weights (2-3 lbs). Then it's Pilates Burn which is a total body segment. The last one is Pilates for Flexibilitywith very nice stretches I really enjoy the workout and the little time it takes to get great results The fact that you can customize your own workout is even better! Pefect for moms and people without a lot of time.
10 minute solutions are pefect for moms and people that don't have a lot of time to exercise. These quick yet effective 10 minute workouts rock and you can surely feel it when you're done so you know you've worked something! Would reccommend to anyone! There are five different workouts, each consisting of 10 minutes of exercise. You can choose to do just one workout, two workouts, three workouts, four workouts, or all five workouts. And, you can choose to do the workouts in any order that works for you, 1-5 or 5-1. I love that they don't seem as though they would be very difficult but you are sweating and huffing after the ten minutes. I love them, I have given them to my friends and family to try and they have each given them back, reluctantly, with the intention of purchasing their own copy. The pilates is great but there are other ones as well that I've used that are just as good!

I purchased this video several years ago and any time I felt the need to get stretched out, I would put the video in and pick several different segments. My favorites were the abs, the legs and the stretching. I loved being able to only spend 10 minutes and come away feeling good about what I had done for myself. This is especially great for anyone who's had child. Pilates fixes so many mommy problems. I love this video so much that when my sister had her first child, it was my present to her. I knew that she would need the pilates to get back into her old jeans. A few weeks after I gave it to her, I wanted it back! This is such a great video that I will probably end up buying it again.
The instructor is very upbeat and helpful. She completely describes the moves and is very encouraging. The pilates moves didn't seem difficult and I really felt the results. I highly recommend this video to anyone.
Excellent Workout for Abs
10 Minute Solution: Pilates looks easier than it is. You can almost instantly feel the burn in your abs and notice great results in just a couple of weeks. This exercise video helps you build lean muscle and strength and is a very enjoyable workout. 10 Minute Solution: Pilates workout is easy to follow with low impact exercises that really do make a huge diference in muscle tone and strength. It really is amazing that just 10 mintues a day can make such a huge difference in your waist line. It is also great for firming your buns and thighs and also increases flexability. Make sure you have some kind of mat to lay on while doing these exercises or you might get sore. It is best to practice this while barefoot because you get more flexability and toning out of the exercises than you would wearing tennis shoes. I also think the video is worth the price considering the large impact pilates can have on your body. It is also great for those in a hurry who want to see some results.

Spending 10-30 minutes per day with this workout has made a huge difference in the overall tone of my body. Best ab workout I knoe. With ten minute segments there is no excuse that I do not have time and the workout seems to go by quickly.

This is a great workout, with something for beginners and advanced exercises. I love getting a great workout in only 10 minutes!! I found this 10 minutes pilates video to be worth doing and keeping, I have added it to my permanate collection of workout videos. I would recommend this dvd. You will really be feeling your abdominals working from beginner to advanced techniques and moves. I usually get a good 2 day "good sore" from this pilates workout. A lot of the workout requires proper technique and learning to engage the muscles you are targeting.
