Have you ever sat there and needed a program for your computer but had no idea where to find it? Need a registry cleaner, picture editor, mp3 program or maybe a data base maker? Well have I got the site for you and best of all it is free to join. They have programs you pay for, free trials and free programs too!

ZDNET.com

You can get programs for a PC or a MAC here and also learn a few things by clicking on the links at the top of the home page. If you want to search for programs or files just look up top and click on the link that says "DOWNLOADS" Once there on the left is a listing of popular program topics or use the search feature on the right. Then you can sort the results by operating system and also what license type you want such as "Free to Try" or "Free" it then takes you to the listing according to your preferences. In order to download you have to be a member and sign-up takes just a few minutes.

You are given a description of the program you are looking at and the option to download it. Downloads are fast depending on your system and I are of many types such as zip, exe, and rar. I have been using this site for at least 5 years now and have never gotten a virus or bad file from them.

Bottom Line

Why pay for a file or program if you can get it for free? Sure these may not be the fancy colorful programs you buy, but they do what they say and their FREE! I have gotten Anti Virus Programs, Registry Cleaners and Editors, Picture Viewers and Picture Editors. The Shareware programs are very good and most will give you a limited trial period in which to test it out before you buy it. So what are you waiting for go to www.zdnet.com and try it out.

I now have three places to check for software; versiontracker.com, tucows.com, and zdnet.com.

For utilities especially, ZDnet is a great resource (plus they screen for viruses etc., so you can place more trust in their downloadables than those you get from some other sites).

you're welcome, I got one called PC Image Editor I use for all my pics here. It will change between all the popular piture files, plus you can rotate and enlarge with it. ;)
