Not only do you get the skinny on best hotels/restaurants/activities for any interest group (birders, honeymooners, families, seashellers, fishers, wildlife enthusaists) - all exceptionally well written by Libby and Kim, the site owners - you can subscribe to the message board and get advice from many people who have actually stayed at a particular hotel,condo, home and actually toured the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, or rented kayaks to explore the mangrove forests, or taken cruises to the outer islands, or eaten at any of the restaurants there. You cannot imagine the good advice you get both on the website and the message boards. Nothing is omitted! The message boards are searchable, too so you can find advice from everything to best brunches, cheap eats, music venues, shelling spots, places to avoid crowds, innovative activities.

You can spend hours on this site and leave with few, if any, unanswered questions.... if, by chance you have some request, just write the owners, or post your query on the message boards. You won't be in the dark for long, as readers will be racing to help you plan your visit there.

I've never traveled anywhere that I don't stake out the area first, so have visited many travel sites . I have never seen a site that nearly approaches this in any respect: comprehensiveness, gorgeous pictures, detailed information, welcoming friendliness, and eagerness to help a visitor. It is so apparant the owners truly love these islands and have labored to make it such a useful and attractive site.
