Weight Watchers Review

My weight has always been up and down.  I was a fat baby, a scrawny, awkward pre-teen, then a chubby teenager.  I married had my children, lost weight, gained weight, lost weight, gained weight.  While I was never huge, I was still on that yo-yo of never being able to maintain a consistent weight and size.  It was frustrating. 

My daughters have inherited my same weight problem.  When my daughter was in high school she and I made the decision to join Weight Watchers.  She is a petite 5'3".  I am a little taller at 5'5".  In about two months, she had lost over 20 pounds and I lost 15.  That put me at my goal weight and I am now a lifetime member.  For a teenager, a loss of 20 pounds on her petite frame was awesome!  It made such a difference in her self esteem. 

She does gain and lose, even now.  However, we know that we can manage our weight healthily with the knowledge we gained at the Weight Watchers meetings.  I know that some people may read this and say, "Ah, you were never that overweight!" and they will minimize the effect the meetings had on us.  The fact is that Weight Watchers does as much to keep people from continuing in that pattern of constant weight gain so that they don't have 50-75-100 pounds to lose.  I'm here to tell you, it's much easier to lose 10 pounds that 100.  I've heard the testimonies and seen the agony in the faces of those who were going through it.  Weight Watchers is tried and true. The program works.
