Webkinz.com —

Webkinz.com

What is it?
Webkinz is the latest craze amongst children of all ages (and their parents)!

Here's how it works:
1. Purchase a Webkinz or Lil' Kinz stuffed animal from a local store or online (we usually use Hallmark).  There are so many different animals to chose from.  We have a Himalayan Cat, an Alley Cat, Monkey, Panda Bear, Frog, Pig, Pug, Beagle...just to name a few!)

2. Attached to the stuffed animal is a special code.

3. Create an account on Webkinz.com

4. Enter the special code attached to your animal in the allocated spot.

5. Follow the steps in the adoption process of your Webkinz .

6. Print your adoption certificate (if you want to) of your pet.

Your Webkinz has now come to life and it's your job to feed him, love him and create his very own room.

Of course, to buy food and furniture and fun, you need to earn KinzCash.  To earn Kinzcash, you must play some games (there are MANY), do the daily activities, go on a Gem Hunt, etc.

Registering your Webkinz and playing with him is free for the first year.  After that first year, there is a renewal fee.

You can add as many Webkinz as you buy and earn some Kinzcash by adding them, as well.

My Viewpoint!
My family was introduced to Webkinz last July.  My daughter received one for her birthday and we had no idea what it was or what to do with it.  After a crash course about Webkinz World, we logged on and have been having fun ever since.

My daughter now has 8 Webkinz and my son has 4.  I love to help them buy and decorate their pet's rooms.  I also enjoy playing many of the games that are available to earn money.

My daughter, who is 4 years old, is a Webkinz Junkie.  She loves to play all the games online and take care of her pets.  She even takes care of her stuffed animal Webkinz and totes them all around with her, as well.  These are the ONLY stuffed animals in our house that have EVER gotten played with.  I really thought they would just fall by the wayside, but they didn't.

Webkinz.com is addicting for the parents too!  I actually know a woman who bought her own Webkinz and created her own account because her kids didn't want her playing on theirs anymore...NO, it's not me!!  I do enjoy playing the games and earning Kinzcash for my children, so they are pleasantly surprised the next time they log on.

Webkinz.com teaches my children many things:
The value of a dollar.
How to earn that dollar.
How to care and love for a pet
....and so much more!

Webkinz are a great addition to every family!

No they aren't. But there are some I just like. Your aunt won't be hitting it big anytime soon! Jo

Are beanie babies worth anything now? I remember my Aunt collecting them because they would be "worth something" later on. :)

I was in a store at the hospital my mom was in and asked them what these things are. I still have 25 Beanie Babies:) Jo

Excellent review. I didn't entirely understand the whole webkinz craze, with two too little and one too old but your description fixed all that.
