Even though I usually prefer a whole sweet pickle with a sandwich, when I am making ham salad, this is the pickle that I get to grind up and add to the ingredients. There is a tang to them but they aren't too sweet nor are they too salty to be eaten alone, on a sandwich or used in a spread. I rinse them to get the seeds off of them and let them sit in a strainer for about five minutes before I put them in the grinder. Too much water from them will end up leaving your spread watery. A one ounce serving contains 40 calories, 110 milligrams of sodium, 10 grams of carbohydrates but no protein. I eat these right out of the jar or on a sandwich but most of the time they are used for the ham salad and the ham spread. If you are making either of those and you add too many hard boiled eggs you can loosen up the mixture with a teaspoon of the juice from the pickles but always taste it as you are mixing it because this does add a little bit of a kick to it. Most grocery stores in my area have Vlasic products but not all of them carry the Zesty Bread And Butter Pickles. If I have to drive to three stores to find it I will because the ham salad and ham spread wouldn't taste the same without it. I have tried this type of pickle from other companies and the taste isn't the same. Not everyone is going to like the taste of these, especially if they prefer a sweet gherkin.

The vlasic zesty bread and butter pickles are extremely tasty. They remind me of our summer cook outs. Perfect for sandwiches or burgers. The combination of spices makes a great pickle. The zesty taste really spices up your food. We love these just as a snack or on almost anything we eat. My family absolutely loves these pickles.

I love vlasic dill pickles, but when I tried these, I did not like the taste! They taste too buttery to me. Maybe if they used less butter, they might taste a little better. I will always love the vlasic regular dill pickles though! They are my favorite pickles! :)

Vlasic Pickles...i will tell you right now...i am a 'KEEP THE PRICE LOW' kind of person.  I usually go for best price on most things, but i will say Vlascic Pickle are the BEST.  I've tried them ALL trying to find that old fashioned home made barrell crisp pickle and trust me VLASIC ARE THE BEST, and closest to those old fashioned pickles.  They are a bit pricey! that is the only drawback, but they are really worth the money when it comes to taste. I've even tried the store refridgeated ones, and they don't come close.  Once you try them, believe me you won't go back to the others.  The others just don't stack up.  Vlasic Pickles (especialy the Dill), are the closest you will come to 'Homemade" and, when using them in your recipis (like Deviled Eggs, Potato salad), mmm, PERFECTION...when i have used another top brand in my recipies, people have commented "not as good as usual" and that is the truth.  Vlasic is the best, even better than the refridgerated ones, and you will not go back to your former brand.

I am not a huge fan of bread and butter pickles, in fact in the past I didn't like them at all. It has only been in the last couple of years that I can actually stand bread and butter pickles. At Easter time my brother introduced me to these pickles, zesty bread and butter pickles and I was stunningly surprised by how much I really like them. They are sweet, spicy and tart all at the same time. These are my brother's favorite pickles. My kids even enjoyed them and neither one of them like pickles at all, these have become one of my family's favorite pickles. I hope you all try them and enjoy them as much as we have.
