I've been a usBank Worldperks Visa cardholder for so long, I can't remember when I obtained my first credit card with them. Obviously, I've been a happy customer.
Until three years ago, I happily paid my $45 annual fee to obtain one Northwest Airline mile per $1 spent. When I reconsidered whether I really needed a credit card for which I had to pay an annual fee, I decided to cancel the card and called the company. I was then given the option of NOT paying an annual fee and receiving one airline mile per $2 spent.
I had enjoyed obtaining free Northwest Airline flights through Worldperks Visa, received excellent customer service with usBank, and had no desire to search for another credit card company. So I took the deal and never looked back (unless you count the time on the dizzy amusement ride at Disney World, which wouldn't have been possible without my free airline miles).
Even with my reduction in mileage earnings per dollar, I still use my credit card enough to make it worth my while. In fact, my husband and I just returned from a trip to New Mexico using my Worldperks miles. And our wedding in Hawaii a few years ago wouldn't have happened if not for my usBank Worldperks Visa.
My annual interest rate seems good to me at 10.9%. Could I obtain a lower interest rate? Probably, if I made some phone calls and tried. Since I usually pay my balance in full each month, this hasn't been a priority for me.
I've been a very satisfied customer of usBank Worldperks Visa and would recommend them to anyone looking to obtain free flyer miles with Northwest Airlines.
