I don't like to use sunscreen on my kids because of the chemicals, but can't afford the all natural stuff, so sadly, I compromise. We wear sun shirts at the pool and try not to go out at peak hours. For the times that we have to be out, or the parts that aren't covered by clothing, I put Up & Up Baby Sunscreen on myself and my kids. It gets a better rating than most other chemical sunscreens from the EWG (a "watchdog" group that tries to scare the you-know-what out of everyone about harmful chemicals in everything on earth), works extremely well, and is very gentle on sensitive skin. I actually use this on my face when I'm going to be out in the sun at the pool, playing tennis, doing yard work etc. and I don't get any irritation or breakouts. It doesn't smell as good as coppertone or banana boat, but that isn't very important to me. I will continue to use this sunscreen in moderation, and would recommend it to a friend until I win the lottery or something better comes a long!
