Truly a toy that stands the test of time. With Tupperware's replacement guarantee, there is pretty much no end to this toy should something break or go missing.

The Shape-O ball has ten shapes and ten corrensponding holes in which to place the shapes, teaching not only shape awareness, but also large and fine motor skills among other things. The ball pulls apart in the center by pulling on the handles on either end, separating the ball to release the shapes for continued fun. Included are common familiar shapes to young children, such as circle, square, triangle, star, as well as several more complex and unfamiliar shapes, such as the pentagon, oval, plus/cross, and others.

Very durable plastic puts up with throwing, sitting on, standing on, kicking, teething, etc. handed out by young children without a crack. Plastic is thick and stands up to abuse. Shapes are large enought to not be choking hazards, too strange in shape to really fit in a chld's mouth fully. A toy that has and will continue to stand the test of time and remain a favorite.

I guess I'm the only person here that doesn't like this toy, but I almost lost a finger in it--as an adult. Getting the pieces into the ball is safe enough, but getting them out again takes a grown-up's two hands to pull against the spring inside the ball, leaving no hand to get out the last piece of two that's caught inside. A toy for kids should be able to be used over and over by kids!

The simple shapes are easy enough for a toddler to handle, but the five-pointed star, for example, is so hard that, by the time my boys could do it, they were past the age where pushing a shape through a hole was fun. I'd opt instead for a simple, 3-shape sorter with a lid the child can take off.

Been through 3 kids already!

Comments about Tupperware Shape O Ball:

The Shape O Ball was a gift to my daughter when she was only about 2 years old. She of course loved it. That was about 8 years ago and it has survived 2 more children. I purchased this because I knew Tupperware was tough and would last a long time. Little did I know that my daughter would learn her shapes so quickly with this toy. By age 3 she knew what a trapezoid was and every other shape for that matter. My only complaint is that when you pull it apart to get the shapes out, sometimes it can be a challenge to get them all out. A small child would have difficulty doing it on their own. My 4 year old still needs help with it from time to time. The Shape O Ball has taken years of abuse from my kids and never once has it broken or hurt them. They actually like to put other toys in the slots and try to get them out, like Hot Wheels. I hope to keep this for my grandchildren to play with one day and I don’t have any doubts that it will still be holding strong at that time.

Tupperware Shape O Ball

By

Comments about Tupperware Shape O Ball:

What a marvelous invention the Tupperware Shape O Ball was. Every household on my street had this toy when I was young and no wonder, it required patience, dexterity and visual co-ordination. It was a simple idea but thoroughly stimulating for the senses. I loved it so much I just had to get one for my eldest son and I would endlessly watch him trying to put a triangle into a hexagon hole or a rectangle into a star hole. Sometimes I would want to bust in and show him where to put it but I had to contain myself. Once they're all in you just pull the handles apart and they all fall out. After we had both children and they got a little older, they would time themselves to see who could get the shapes into the appropriate holes within the shortest amount of time. This is a durable toy suitable for many ages. We must have had this in our house for five years before giving it away. I would recommend it.

I loved this toy!

Comments about Tupperware Shape O Ball:

I always loved this toy, I grew up playing with this ball, and shapes! And I loved it. It was built strong, and brightly colored , as to grab childrens attention! I used to race my sister to see which one of us could get all the shapes in the ball the fastest! We all loved it. We had it for as long as I can remember, and then the string that held the two pieces of the ball together tore one day, and my mom wanted to replace it, but I'm not sure what happened, was it not available anymore or what but we never got another one. It did last us a long time though, and it was still well worth our money! Once I have children of my own, I want to get one for them as well! I would recommend this Tupperware Shape O Ball, to anyone with little ones. It's a great durable, yet fun toy, that I enjoyed very much as a child! Tupperware is just a wonderful company! There are very few of their products that I don't like!

shape sorter

Comments about Tupperware Shape O Ball:

the Tupperware shape sorter is a cool toy that has been around for a long time. I had one of these when I was a kid. and happened to find one for my kids at a yard sale for a whole quarter. can you beat that? I like this Tupperware shape sorter because it is sturdy and made to last! the Tupperware shape sorter is sturdy and hours of fun. my kids have so much fun with the shape sorter and you can store the pieces right in the sorter. the bright colors must attract the little ones to this. baby can even play with it without getting those yellow pieces all over the place. the pieces are fairly big so there is not choking hazard. one thing I do not like about the Tupperware sorter is that there are a lot of pieces for a youngster of 2 or 3 and the shapes are a bit confusing for those youngsters to. but parents can always help. I guess the price does not seem too expensive when you realize that these shape sorters last for a very long time.

A classic, of course

By

from Gulfport, MS

Comments about Tupperware Shape O Ball:

The Tupperware Shape O Ball is a toy that has endured the generations. It is a toy that I had as a child, and is a toy that I have for our daughter as well. It has certainly not lost its appeal throughout its many years of existence. With it being manufactured by Tupperware, you know that it's high quality and built to last. As far as I can tell (and remember), it hasn't changed in its year of being manufactured (seems to be made with the same thick plastic material that it was made with decades ago). This is another one of those toys that will be out and used for many years to come. Right now, our daughter just likes to chew on the pieces and pick them up with her hands and move them from hand to hand. They are large enough not to be a choking hazard. Once she is older, I'm sure she will enjoy placing the shapes into the corresponding holes within the ball. Another use right now is rolling the ball around with the shapes inside which makes for a nice large rattling ball!

Shape O Ball is a classic

By

Comments about Tupperware Shape O Ball:

First of all I love Tupperware products. But the Shape O Ball is such a great product. Its definately a classic in our family and all the kids love it! Its  a great learning toy, easy to clean, child friendly, super durable, simple, reguires children to use their imagination and grows with your child. All of those things are great but my favorite thing about this product is that it has a LIFETIME warranty. Can you say that about any of your childs other toys? I definately can't! Tupperware has been around for such a long time and is such a great brand. Some people have stated that the Tupperware Shape O Ball is on the pricey side. I dare to differ I beleive that you get what you pay for and I can't say more great things about it having a lifetime warranty. My understandment on it from the conversation I had with the Tupperware consultant is that the lifetime warrant covers all damaged products 100 percent but if the product or pieces of the product are lost you will be responsible as the consumer for the shipping cost. I would reccomend this to everyone and already do...enjoy!

Shape O Ball is a great educational toy!

By

from Howard Lake, MN

Comments about Tupperware Shape O Ball:

The Shape O Ball is great for teaching your little ones their shapes. It's great for coordination. My kids love it very much and play with it all the time. It has helped them learn their shapes. It is easy to open. Shapes are easy to store right in the ball. You do have to be careful not to pinch their little fingers when the ball is open. It is an educational toy that has been around for years. I have never heard of any kids not liking this toy. It is one of Tupperware's best products that they have come out with. I am thankful it is a product I can share with my kids and other families I highly recommend this product to any parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles. Buy it for the kids in your life. They will love it. You can shop on Tupperware's website or find a Tupperware representative near you that can order it for you. It is reasonably priced and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. That is the best part.
