Not my way to travel from city to city

Pros

    great place to get travel ideas, One rep out of 13 I spoke to was nice

Cons
    Reps transfered 8 times on a 1 hr call, rude, Hours spent trying to fix problems, Horrible customer service, Customer Service language problems, Did not guarentee as they promote, tricky cancellation policies, Poor customer service

I don't have a lot of spare time. I am lucky that we get to take vacations and planning one takes lots of time so I don't need any trouble when I decide to start my planning and research.  Once upon a time about 7 years ago I did use Travelocity frequently for my personal and business travel, now I stop by to see the fares, but I would be hard pressed to book travel there, let's put it this way, the savings better be astronomical to put up with both their website and their awful customer service. 

What do I like about Travelocity? 

  • can search for more than one airline and fare at a time 
  • fare watcher 
What don't I like about Travelocity? 
Travelocity how do I hate thee, let me count the ways. . . . here are just a few 

  • they have a fare watcher but I never get my notices 
  • prices are about the same as everywhere else 
  • hard to search for most things 
  • customer service is the WORST I have ever seen anywhere with any company 
Let me tell you a story, and this is just one of many instances. While trying to book travel for my son and his girlfriend to visit me from college I made the mistake of using Travelocity. They kept me on the phone for a very long period of time taking me from person to person but not answering my questions, they many cases didn't understand what I was saying, they started yelling at ME, put me on hold several times and booked the tickets finally not once but twice! after I told them this was ridiculous (I had called customer service after the website wouldn't work to book) and I had no desire to book through them again ever. And, I won't. I admit to peaking, but it just gives me an idea of which site to visit next, peeks on Travelocity are just fine, booking never!
