We replaced our 20 year + AC/Heater about 4 months ago for aTrane Heat Pump and Air Conditioner. We should have done it sooner.
A recent foundation lift forced us to make some long needed repairs to our home. Our AC started acting up so we started pricing. We took 8 bids and finaly found a contractor who we felt we could trust and gave us a fair price. In the end, to help us make up our minds, he upgraded for no additional cost to a Trane Heat Pump and Air Conditioner.
Over the last four months, we have seen a total savings of $300. Summer in Texas is brutal on the bills but not this time. We are waiting to see what our December through January bills are as theyare usually the highest. We still have leaks in the house as wearestill repairing walls and baseboards, but we did replace our windows which have also helped. But the big difference is the Trane Heat Pump and Air Conditioner. The unit actual bumps the temperature a little higher or lower depending on the setting and keeps the rooms at the set temperature. When we actually notice that we get cold or warm, it is usually at the moment the unit kicks on which is so infrequent comparedto the old unit.
The Trane Heat Pump and Air Conditioner has an emergency Heat button should you find you need a temporary boost in heat. We have had one cold night recently where we used the emergency heat towarm up the house, turned off the unit and have yet to turn it back on.
I love my Trane Heat Pump and Air Conditioner.
