Do you have a goal or a set number?  Mine used to be 20 but I've found it difficult to hit that lately since I'm trying to cut down on extra purchases.  Lately I'm writing between 12 and 14 reviews per month.

what about you?

I don't have any goals set. I do at least 12 a month and beyond that, I do as many as I can. Toward the end of the month, I get busy doing summaries (which I should spread out throughout the month but don't) and my reviews stall. I like to do about 15 or 20 a month but sometimes I don't hit it. Other times I do a lot more. I'm getting bored with the stuff I write about and am looking around the house to see what I can review that's out of my zones.

Right now I am having computer problems - well I have been having them for awhile and after $125 I still have problems. If I have to reformat it I will buy a new small laptop. Jo

I've only been around for about a month.    I have no idea how many reviews I've done - I looked once, but haven't checked back for a while.     I just review when the spirit moves me - if I have something that is particularly wonderful and I want to share my experience with it or if I have something that I feel I should warn people to not spent their $$ on.    So, I'm sure some months I'll do a lot of reviews and other months I'll do more posting on the forum.

I usually do about 20 a month, pretty regularly.  I had hoped to do more this month, but time just got away from me.

I shoot for 10 per month and almost always make that. Although I have two to go for this month...

I write a review for every book I read - I have a goal of 125 books this year, so that averages 10 a month, then I do the occasional movie or something else.

So I guess my answer is 10+

My review number varies greatly each month. When I'm busy with other jobs, I might write as few as ten. I admit I write more when there's an incentive through Viewpoints. I think I did 70 the month you guys were running the sweepstakes for baby reviews. I tend to run out of month before I run out of review ideas.

wow.  I did 16 this past month.  I'm hoping that with the summer break (I'm a teacher) that I can get back up to at least 20 per month.

Well this month started off with motivation already :)  Hope I can keep it up!  I think what it comes down to is... I have a million things I could review. In fact, everyone on this site has a million things they could review.  However, sometimes you can't think of ANYTHING to review!  I'll walk the house and everything I think of ends up eing something I already reviewed.  Yet if you really look closely, there is something around every corner to review.

It also has a lot to do with branching out.  Sometimes you don't think of certain things as being reviewable.  I know for the longest time I wouldn't review makeup because I felt like it would be hard to explain, but then I did it and it was easy.

Gotta go - just thought of something I haven't reviewed yet!

I aim for 12 to 15 each month. I have to balance with other responsibilities, so I have limited time in which to compose reviews.

i also just review as the mood strikes me. sometimes i forget entirely about viewpoints. then i get an email about something or other, or an email that i have a comment or fan, and i spend the whole day catching up!

my hubby jokes my mind is swiss-cheese. if it isn't right in front of me, i forget all about it! it would be cool if i could sign up for like a weekly reminder email? last i checked, i didn't find that option. just saying, for people like me with swiss-cheese brains, it'd be cool.

It just depends.  I do at least 4, but hope to do more in the future.  Work and a 4 year old keep me pretty busy!

No set goals really, though I to write at leas (5) per month.  But like you (and I suspect most of us) I have cut down on that which I do not need.  So, less to write about.  I will be glad when the recession os over!

Even with cutting down on new stuff, I still can find a million things I already have that haven't been reviewed.  Every time I shower, I say to myself that I have got to review this shampoo, but then when I get out it slips my mind and I forget until next time I shower :)  Of course, I remembered now but the bottle is at home and I am the type to need the product near me!  That is the circle of life :)

I like reviewing a real mix of things, from movies to cars to electronics to travel. If I run out of one thing, there's always something else, such as a book, movie or even a tool out of my toolbox. That's the nice thing here... if I run out of cool things to review, I can always grab a wrench from my toolbox and review it.

Reviews of some oddball items really do well. I reviewed a couple different brake pads for my old Subaru wagon and each of those reviews gets 500 hits a month. I never would have thought brake pads would be so interesting on the Internet.

I've cut wayyyy back on purchases so my writing has slowed down a lot.  There's also a direct relationship between how much I write and how much life stress I'm experiencing.  Right now I'm not stressed much at all so I'm writing a lot more this month (on Viewpoints, Facebook, Twitter, and my blog) so that's a good thing.  So to answer the question, it's more like when the mood strikes me, I write.  :)

Doesn't it seem like sometimes a writer just gets on a ROLL and comes up with a lot easily?  Then sometimes you don't get much done at all during the month.  I'm glad to see that most of us are concentrating on quality first and then quantity.  I think most of us can be proud of what we are producing.

Last time I thought I'd run out of things to review, I realized that gardening season offered a whole new set of opportunities.  In my most recent review I get the flies taken care of.  And... I'm not too proud to review... dirt!

How motivated so many of you are.  I'm a slow writer.  Luck helps determine how many reviews I write in a month.

I think luck does it for all of us.  Sometimes we are on a "roll" and sometimes not.

It's what I live for!

Oh, I may be doing a couple of reviews in a few weeks, so keep yer eyes peeled. Yeah, more boring motorcycle parts, but those are what seem to be taking up all my free time lately. Once I get those two reviews done, I'm taking 6 months of review vacation so I don't screw up and hit "Writer I" status and ruin my rep as a slacker!

Since I write reviews for not one but two sites, I find it easier to set a 10-review-per-month-per-site maximum; anything beyond 10 reviews at either is, as the saying goes, gravy.

My average has been about 8-10 per month.  Many of my reviews are food related so I need to be reminded to WRITE more EAT less, lol, (as I try a free sample of a new flavor of Kashi TLC Soft Baked Cereal Bar')  I promise I'll review it  too'..mmm'orro'..ww,  sorry I was typing with my mouth full. . . .

i don't have a goal for each month, it depends on my mood, sometimes i write a number of reviews in one day and sometimes i don't like to write anything for days...

I used to write around 20 a month, but I've really slacked off and have only been doing about 5.  I need to start back up!  LOL

August was slow for me, had a lot of summer vacation things to do.  Now that the kids are back at school maybe everything else (like reading and reviewing) can get back to normal.

Still striving for 10+ a month.

I always write 10 reviews a month in the key categories.  If there are other things that I feel strongly about, either good or bad, I'll write on those as well.
