This game is very simple.  Answer the situation posed, and then come up with an off the wall "would you rather?" question of your own.

For Instance:

1st person: Would you rather not wear shoes for a month OR go without a shirt for a day?

2nd person:  Put what you'd rather do here.

Then ask a new question for the next person.

*************************************************

Would you rather eat only peanut butter & jelly for a month OR eat nothing but bologna for a week?

Scrabble.  I love Scrabble and word games in general.

Would you rather be sick on your birthday or Christmas?

On my birthday, which really I could celebrate another "substitute" day!!

Although having carefully read the invitation,  would you rather find that you
are over-dressed for the occasion, or too informally dressed?

I think I would rather be over-dressed.  Being over-dressed wouldn't be considered tacky or rude.  People would just wonder why the heck you are dressed like that!

Would you rather go snow boarding or surfing?

Think either one could scare me sufficiently.  I'm not thrilled with water, and as a kid
had a horrible sledding mishap on a steep hill in a field.

Would you rather eat a bagel with any kind of spread, or have an English muffin with margerine?

I would eat the bagel with my favorite spread.

Would you rather spend your weekend reading a good book or renting that movie you've been wanting to see?

I would rather read a good book---a cozy chair or sofa & a blanket would be just fine.

Would you rather see for the umpteenth time --It's a Good Life, or Miracle on
34th Street?

For some reason I have never cared for It's A Wonderful Life--I think as a child it depressed me.  I would rather watch Miracle on 34th Street (the orig. version with Natalie Wood).

I was just hospitalized for 5 days and this happened to me.

Would you rather have the lab tech lose your vials and have to redraw the blood OR would you rather a lab tech not know how to draw blood and make you the human pin cushion?

I would rather the lab tech lose my vials and have to redraw the blood than have an inexperience lab tech use me as a pin cushion.

Would you rather be slapped in the face by a toddler or have a toy thrown at you by the same toddler? Both of these happened to me on Friday.

Thank you!  It's great to be back--I really missed everyone at Viewpoints.

Krista, I would rather be slapped in the face by a toddler because that couldn't hurt too terribly but getting a toy thrown at you could depending on what the child throws.

While on the discussion of children misbehaving.  Both of these happened to me when I taught 4-year-olds.

Would you rather a child bite you (the child could have an illness or be infected) OR throw a construction board at you and bust your lip and give you a blackened cheek?

I think I would rather a child bite me, which has happened to me before.

Would you rather have your widescreen TV be hung on the wall or sitting on a table?

I don't have one but if I did, I would want it on a table.

Would you rather wear wet socks and shoes or dirty clothes?

The wet socks and shoes because we have all probably done that when caught in a downpour.  The dirty clothes, nah--I'm OCD and it would get the best of me.

Thinking of the future: Would you rather someone pay off a car that you still owe on OR give you the equivalent to put toward an education fund for your child or a loved one?

This is a hard one!  I guess I would pick having it for my child's education.  But if they don't go to college, I want it back!  LOL

Would you rather spend the day in bed OR spend the day at the mall?

I would rather spend the day in bed.  I would light candles, have some wine and read a good book.  That sounds heavenly!

Would you rather drive in the snow to get ingredients to make something for Christmas dinner or go without?

Go without :)  Nothing is that important.  Funny thing is we had that horrible storm on Friday and my friend, who works at CVS, said people still came in.  I said "what did people possibly have to buy during the first big storm of the year" and he said they bought stupid stuff like today's paper or some candy.  Seriously people, unless you are dying and need emergency suppliers- there is no need to go out in a storm!

It's 3 degrees outside... would you rather go in and out of shopping malls with a friend for a girls day out  OR  cancel with your friend and just stay home with your warm blanket and TV?

Blankey and TV for me! It IS 3 degrees out and I'm not even going anywhere near that door unless it's an emergency. I'll have a girls' day out in June!

Would you rather it be 30 degrees all year long or 90 degrees all year long?

As strange as it may sound, I think the steady 30 degrees would be more comfortable as I could dress in layers.   However, I could cope with 90 degrees--but not the related humidity.

If having roast turkey/chicken for Christmas, would you rather than regular bread stuffing, or a stuffing made with dried cranberries, or pecans --similar to Martha Stewart's recipe?

I would rather have the breaded stuffing like Stove Top because I don't like cranberries ;+(

Christmas party at your house and you have new carpet and furniture: Would you rather someone spill grape juice or wine on your carpet/sofa OR would you rather someone drop a cigarette on your sofa/carpet and put a big burn spot on it?

With someone that I knew...that i liked and that smells good and has a cell phone that I can use.

Would you rather know the date of your own death or just continue living and wait until it happens?

Welcome to the board game.  I believe you answered the last question on the first page instead of the last question on page 16.  Look above your response and see the other question.

I would rather just die naturally.  Knowing my death date would cause too much anxiety for me.

Let's try my question again:

You are hosting a Christmas party at your house.  The room where all the guest is congregating has all new furniture and carpet.  Would you rather someone accidentally drop grape juice or wine on the furniture/carpet OR drop a cigarette and burn a significant size hole in your furniture/carpet?

I would rather have the person spill grape juice, I think there are ways now to get the stain out.

Would you rather have uncontrollable gas (time to get out the masks)all week or uncontrollable pee (time to get out the Depends)?

Gas, because according to Man Law #1: Farts are always funny! Pissing yourself, not so much.

Would you rather be bedridden for the rest of your life with some strange, unpronounceable wasting disease or suffer a complete and permanent loss of memory?

Memory loss b/c Samantha Who is hilarious :)  No but really, I already have a bad memory and I keep blogs and everything so I feel like I could read all that and try to at least relearn my life.

It's the last day the office is open, the place is DEAD.  Would you rather sneak out early for an "appointment" just to get out of there  OR  stay til the bitter end, bored out of your mind?

If I was at work I would stay to the end of the day because when we don't have clients it is very relaxing.  This is the first in 11 years that I took time off during the holidays.  I have always been at the office and seen clients up until we close.

You're at an amusement park about 2 hours from home with a group of friends.  Would you rather get sick on a ride at the beginning of the day and have to stay the rest of the time because you have no way home OR be with someone else who is not feeling well and you have to listen to them complain the rest of the evening because you are the driver and aren't ready to leave.

Keep in mind: this is not major sick, like go to ER sick--this is typical motion sicknes that will pass after a while.

So I'm at Cedar Point?  That's about 2 hours away from me ;)  Ok  I'd rather be sick b/c I'd get tired of the person complaining.  I have been sick in situations like this before, once at Cedar Point, and I don't complain to LEAVE, I just complain that I feel sick :)  So when this happened at Cedar Point I did not want to go home b/c all my family was there and it was fun.  I started feeling so randomly sick, but I ended up lying down on a table watching my sister and family do this sky dive thing for an hour or so, and I ended up feeling better and felt fine the rest of the time :)

Would you rather: meticulously keep track of what you buy for who so you don't overspend / underspend  OR  just buy what you see and like up until Christmas and hope for the best?

I'm clinically diagnosed OCD so I will go the meticulous route.  I always write a list of people and potential gift ideas and price ranges.  I try to keep everyone within $25-30 each; except of course my sister and 2 best friends.  I overcompensate for them and buy lots of small things ;+)

I also got sick at an amusement park about 2 hours from home.  Once I got everything out of my belly I started feeling better.  I walked around for about an hour and then started riding again.  I was with some of my youth group.  It was a trip we had to earn points for during the summer and I was the only girl who earned enough points so it was me, my youth pastor and about five guys.  So, when I got sick they all had sympathy on me and one even bought me a Six Flags t-shirt so I could get out of my messed up one.

Back to game.  I was chatting with this2shallpass earlier and I thought of this and sent it to her in a comment.

Would you rather slip and fall OUT of your bathtub OR slip and fall INTO your bathtub.  In both situations the tub is full of water.

It is funny that you ask this "Would You Rather" question because both of them have happened to me. If I had the choose, I would rather much fall in the bathtub because when I fell out of the bathtub I landed on the marble tile. Boy, that really hurt.

Would you rather break your leg slipping on ice after an ice storm or rolling bladding and tripping over a bench?
2009 Writer

Ouch ---but guess I would choose the ice landing.  Somehow, tripping over the bench
would show me as a roller blading clutz.   Whereas, ice has no mercy!!

Would you rather burp loudly in a fairly full elevator, or have an "air biscuit"
escape?

I would take the "air biscuit" (had to look that up!) because then it's easy to pass it off on someone else!  haha

I like to watch Christmas movies to get me in the holiday spirit... Would you rather watch a Christmas movie you already know and love (but like I said, you already know it by heart) OR try some new Christmas movies without knowing if you will like them?
