I do a lot of different things online including writing articles for another site and my hobby which is freebie finding. This, of course, in addition to part-time work and running a household. I was just curious what others are up to when not writing at viewpoints.

I write for a few other sites and do research and other things for a UK pro wrestling magazine. Most of my time is spent writing or doing something that has to do with writing. Offline, I like certain TV shows and, when it's warm, I like to go to our little marina and hang out. Oh, and I am an avid at home exerciser and love to find good workouts. I am eagerly awaiting my Wii Fit fitness game/program that is being released TOMORROW! Whoo hoo. And I shop. A LOT. lol.

When I'm not here at Viewpoints I like to read and do yoga. I have a very stressful computer job so sometimes the last thing I want to do when I'm done working is get back on the computer (hence the drastic reduction in the amount of reviews Ive been writing lately) so the yoga and reading help to relax me. I also like to travel.

Thanx for responding, Buggheart. You were one of the first that gave me a comment when I first joined. Thanx for that and I understand your situation. Writing at more than one site is stressful too.

I'm a teacher and I run an animal rescue out of my home (and pocket). I also write for another site, participate on a few animal-related message boards, and do the cooking and cleaning here for the two of us.

I am a freelance writer and website designer/scripts . . . and busy mom of 4 from college to crib. I write for several other sites, and since you like freebies you will love one of my websites --- http://freebiefinds.blogspot.com. I search for all the best freebies that are legitimate that I can find and then post them there. I also do coupons giveaway contests. But mainly I am either playing with my children, reading a good book or working on one writing assignment or the other, including a book which I hope will be published in August of this year. Crossing fingers :-)

I also write for a couple of other sites. When I'm not online, which means I'm out of the house, I'm at the gym, trying to seriously take the journey of enlightenment (really) or traveling. Jo

I work full-time as an engineer, which keeps me busy enough. When I'm not at work, I'm writing for Viewpoints and other sites, as well as some freelance writing/photography for magazines. (April was particularly busy, as I had five articles in magazines, one more with a deadline in April and I took a few dozen pictures that will be published.) In the remaining time, I work on cars, practice guitar, do some travel and work on home renovation projects.
Life is very busy!

I do some writing but not for any website. Just something of my own that I have been working on for years and years. I am in no way a person who calls herself a writer in the sense of publishing books. I just pull out my little novel and write whenever I am inspired or have a great though. Perhaps one day it will become a published book. I also volunteer at my local Humane Society, work on perfecting my BBQ technique and skills and love to read, camp, hike, four-wheel and just hang out.

Nothing to exciting for me. When i'm not writing, I'm working as a manager for a grocery store chain and raising a 3 year old! I read and watch movies a lot. Also listen to a LOT of music.

I'm a financial advisor (fee based and also manage portfolios). Published Poet, journalist, and novelist (The Glass Cocoon). President of Pen Washington and sit on the board of PEN USA at Antioch College in Los Angeles though I live in the Northwest. I host two monthly poetry readings (sometimes with some music) in the Seattle area. Have enjoyed working with 1st and 2nd grades helping them develop reading skills (though I don't have the time and can't afford to donate my time for very very low pay to do this any longer).

I just pulled off early retirement, and seem to have less free time than when I was working full time. I'm currently working as a consultant (when I have to), write free lance for some travel and political blogs, compete in car shows, thinking about competing in senior class bodybuilding, and getting out of the country as much as possible. Going on my first cruise in November, hope it's as cool as everyone tells me. My immediate goal for today is to quit buying stuff I read about on VP.

Work full time, write part time here and other places, mom of two little ones and TV time if I manage to get to it - although I do make time for certain shows. With the weather getting nicer we're outside a whole lot more. Have to burn off that 2-year old energy.

Wow, you all are busy people! I am humbled. I do a lot but I am lucky that I get to do it at my pace, when I want to as long as I get it done on time. My kids are older (17 and 22) and don't need Mommy anymore (sigh) and most of my work is done on the couch on my laptop with my iPod on or a late night TV show in the background. I do, however, generally get behind in everything and go crazy at least a few days a month because I tend to drift away from my tasks and end up shopping, reading celeb blogs, or playing the Wii now.
I can honestly say I am so glad that I no longer HAVE to show up for work at someone else's office. I miss the camaraderie a bit but not the structure. I never was good at that stuff. Kudos to you who work full time and still manage to make time to be here and elsewhere and/or taking care of kids. I'm tired thinking about it.

When I'm not writing at viewpoints, I'm watching movies... that I can later review on VP. OR I'm going to places... that I can later review on VP. Or I'm trying a new meal item, that I can later review on VP :) It's funny how everything comes back to VP eventually.

I have to change that! I went to sleep at 6 a.m. and was up at 11 today and I feel like a zombie. But if I try to sleep at midnight, I just think, write reviews in my head, make to do lists in my head, and remember I didn't pay a bill I was supposed to pay two weeks ago. It doesn't work for me!
Yoga has really helped me though. I really enjoy the challenge and I feel that it clears my mind and I get better sleep. But you guys work way harder that I ever could! Just chasing toddlers is a full time job. I know, I did it. Of course my oldest was an alien sent down to test my mental stability. He was cccrraaazzyyy. (Yes that would be Mr----X). lol.

I work full time, and try to run an organized houshold, but never seem to achieve Better Homes and Gardens level of cleanliness, order, or style. I have a child who just finished second grade, and one who just finished sophomore year in college. I try to be active with school activities to show my support, and I also try to be active in church activities, and often find myself overbooked and going crazy. I also like to participate in dog showing-both conformation and obedience. I adore reading, and seldom get the time to do as much as I would like, but I think that statement applies to most things in my life. I like to garden, but often lack the funds to do all the wonderful things I would like. If you have money, you don't have time and visa versa....I adore cool weather, and am a night owl...morning is something I have learned to endure with a modicum of civility. Neither of my kids are morning people either, so we rub along pretty well much to the dismay of my husband who manages to pop out of bed like a stinking piece of toast, but can't make it through the ten o'clock news without snoozing in the Lazy Boy.....(maybe it is a miracle we have kids at all now that I think of it.) And it is a well guarded secret that thanks to my grandmother believing that idle hands were the devil's workshop, I was taught to crochet, knit and embroider, but literally haven't had the time for a project in at least three or four years. I am an old movie buff-particularly the Golden Age of Hollywood genre. I am DVR addicted, because it puts TV on my terms and my schedule. My normal day starts between 5 and 5:30 AM and usually doesn't end until after 11 PM....I live for rainy Saturday or Sunday afternoons and an opportunity to nap without feeling guilty for all the chores that I should be doing. I can pop a load in the wash, one in the dryer and snooze guilt free. Should exercise more, but just have no idea how to fit it in with all the obligations and normal family duties....trying to get some of my friends from church into a club situation where we can keep each other honest...Instead of telling ourselves that we will do it as soon as the laundry, dishes, vacumming, whatever is done (and of course there is always something undone) you will have a buddy on the phone reminding you that the laundry will wait, but the exercise won't.

I work around the house trying to make it more me and less just a house. I ride my V Star when Mother Nature allows and I enjoy customizing it to suit me. I just try to keep busy doing something even if it takes a lot longer due to my limitations physically. I only write here and most of my reviews seem to focus on my many projects.

I work in computer hardware distribution all week. Love to play in my garden (my baby green beans are just so cute). I tend to my cat "Scrappy's" every wish. Hang out with my hubby of 11 years as of May. I am a Bzzagent so I am "Bzzing" all the time. I run and own a rummage post site (Keeps me busy in spring, summer and fall). I like to take time out to do some sketching. Hike. Absorb nature. and I am learning to quilt and for some reason I had the urge to have a braided rug so I am now making one at the moment. Also taking on being a Neilson scan person.

I am not as active on viewpoints as many of you but manage to check in occasionally. I am a caregiver for my 83 year old aunt, who has Alzheimer's. I also took care of my Mother with the same disease. During this time I found a real need and my own passion in this area. I am an advocate for residents who reside in long term care facilities and received an appointment with a grassroots committee in my area. I am also an animal lover and rescue or foster mostly dogs out of my home and pocket :) My newest hobby is machine embroidery with a goal of learning to quilt. I love to cook, take a pastoral course, and run a Bingo game at an assisted living facility once a week. I have some health problems but find the best way to live with these issues is to stay active being of service to others. In addition, I am happily married, have 3 dogs, and am expecting my third grandchild in September....finally a girl!! I have many more interest but these old bones, joints and body, don't seem to allow me to get involved. Evenings are a blessed time spent with my hubby and canine kids, watching TV, computerizing and reading....mostly magazines.....and that's what I do when I'm away from Viewpoints. I want to learn more about this site and become more involved with all of you.
