One day when my siblngs and I went to get some coffee, we were going to order our favorite usual, "Mocha Frappuchinos Decaf" when we were told that it "has been discontinued." No more decaf! We were surprised. I know there are people that have got to love Decaf too.
...But I am wondering if it's only at certain locations or is it really discontinued everywhere. Does anyone know?

It's funny you bring this up b/c months and months ago I saw a letter on the starbucks website that they would be making changes and expanding their products for the company and the customers. They didn't list specifics. Now their site is completely different. I don't see anything on there about getting rid of decaf, and the starbucks store sells decaf, so I wonder if it was just that particular drink that they discontinued? I'd try another store to find out, it's not like there are a lack of starbucks in the US :-D

I ordered a Low-fat Vanilla Bean Frappachino a few months ago, like I have many, many times in the past and was told they didn't make them low-fat any longer. They told me that Starbuck's changed to a new syrup and it wasn't available in low-fat. I was a little disappointed because that was my Weight Watchers treat and now I have to keep aside more points if I want one. I wonder if that change was just my store or all of them too?

Hey turtle, I think most chain stores pass the policy and recipe changes company wide, so I'd assume it's the same everywhere. Maybe you should look into a different coffee shop - I've been noticing a lot of Tim Hortons lately, or Biggby's.

Well, seems my question has been answered. My siblings and I went to another Starbucks about an hour or two ago and got the same response. :( No more decaf Mocha Frappuchinos! :(
In my opinion, it makes no sense what Starbucks is doing. There's people who also love decaf or can only drink decaf. If they take off some locations (there's like a Starbucks in every corner or in an area) and keep the menu the way they had it, they can save money. The way it is now makes no sense at all. It can possibly turn customers away because of the lack of menu and no more decafs :(
So my siblings and I decided to try now "The Coffee Bean". Does anyone know if it is good there? Any suggestions to other good decaf coffee shops?

I never heard of the Coffee Bean, that may be specific to your area or at least not around me :) We like Tim Hortons and this place called Biggbys that is all around, mostly b/c we get buy 1 get 1 free coupons for Biggbys all the time!
Starbucks is dumb for getting rid of some of their decaf drinks, especially since you would think they'd want to pull in any and all coffee drinkers.
Sounds like you should write a review :)

I wish I would have seen this post earlier, but let me put my imput in. I am a Starbucks freak... if I do not visit them for one day, i am pretty sure I would be dead. I used to always get the Decaf Mocha Frappachino. Well, since i was at Starbucks at least once a day, they knew me. They told me that they were going to be discontinuing it. i was so ticked. I do not like to drink a lot of caffeine because it makes me ill.
Well, they told me they could make a different variation of the Frap. using a creme base, but since I drink it often, I noticed a huge taste difference. Therefore, I have resorted to a regular Mocha Frappachino, but I drink it a lot slower so I don't get the jitters. I wrote to them, but all I got was a drink coupon.... oh well what can you do?

Well Houdini I don't know why they discontinue things, but I'm always told at places that they've done their research. Possibly it was not a very popular item, even though 2 people here loved it.
For example, I used to get the Tuna Olga everytime I went to Olgas. Either that or I'd get soup and salad. For YEARS I got Tuna. One day the menu changed and tuna was gone. I asked and they told me it was actually one of their least popular menu items. I guess it was only popular to me b/c I don't eat meat! Oh well, I love the soup and salad so I survived that day, but now every time I'm in the mood for a Tuna Olga i frown a little :(

Frankly I find our local coffee shops to have much better "everything" than Starbucks anyway. Another possibility is to search the Internet for "clone" recipes of your faves. Yes it's true...you can make these things at home!

There is not a Starbucks in my "one horse town", I have to drive 25 miles to get to one, but it's worth the trip when I get there. I'm not a decaf drinker, so I haven't noticed any changes. I always order a Toasted Coconut Frappachino and they are still making those, so I haven't been affected by the changes. I'm so sorry to hear about everyone else not being able to get their favorite anymore.
