I was leaving a warehouse style store this morning and once again thought, "These enter and exit doors are on the wrong sides which creates a strange traffic pattern/direction. " In my mind it should be like a traffic pattern. You enter on the right and exit on the right. I realize this is a pet peeve of mine and wonder what pet peeves you might have...

I agree either people can't read or the don't know what enter and exit mean.

One of mine would be shopping carts left on the side, front or back of vehicles after someone finishes loading their car with shopping. There's plenty of cart corrals almost at each parking section, simply walk the cart to the corral and slide it back in place, it's that simple.

I agree with you on that one!

People who block the aisles in grocery stores or who walk very slowly and don't let me around them.

People who bring 5000 coupons to the checkout lines.

People who, when you let them in front of you because they only have a few things, order cigarettes, which are stored miles away.

People who enter the freeway without matching their speed or trying to merge properly.

The way the volume goes way up during TV commercials.

People who don't speak when I say "hi" in passing.

"Adult" TV ads. Have we NO shame anymore?

Why are all of these things so annoying?

I especially identify with "People who, when you let them in front of you because they only have a few things, order cigarettes, which are stored miles away."

People driving like maniacs in parking lots.

When you are right behind someone leaving a store and they let the door close in your face.

Letting someone in front of you and not getting the "thank you" wave

People walking really slowly in the mall four across, talking and creating a moving wall

People on cell phones bumping into me and cutting in front of me on foot because they are not paying attention (what are they doing while driving?)

People with their arms full or have their hands full with a few little kids and they drop stuff and no one helps them

Door dings

Drivers not paying attention because they're deep in conversation on their cell phone; that is so infuriating to me because it's just so dangerous to so many on the road.

People who pass me on the interstate, pull back into my lane, then slow down.

People who I try to pass who suddenly increase their speed.

People who see a full elevator and insist on shoving their carcasses inside crushing everyone else.

People who come sit down right in front of me in movie theatres when there are open aisles everywhere.

People who become completely feral and revolting in public restrooms.

People who are noisy and walk heavy-footed in hotels.

1,900-pound little girls who wear "Princess" nightgowns.

Men with thick, wavy hair.

Pious types.

Nonpious types.

People who are in-between being pious and nonpious.

People who ramble on.

People who.................

When you're scheduled for an appointment at a specific time, show up on time and end up having to wait....and wait....and wait.  What's the point of having a set-time appointment?? I think it's all annoying because we expect certain things to be done in a certain way, when it doesn't happen, it gets on our nerves.

These are all great!

I thought of another one: walking into a public restroom stall and finding that the person before me didn't have the decency to flush the toilet!

I definitely hate that my doctor's office will make me wait up to two hours to see the doctor or even a PA but if I'm 10 minutes late, they make me reschedule. I think they forget who's paying their bills there. I AM! I once had to reschedule for being around 15 minutes late (and I called and explained why on the way) and I asked a lady who was sitting there how long she was waiting. Over an hour for the doctor I was seeing. So I was after her anyway! ARGHHHHHH! I hate that.

I hate when doors are screwy. Come on, if it looks like it should be pulled open, it should be. I think stores do that to make people look dumb. And I hate when stores like Walmart have several doors to go into but lock some. So I end up playing musical doors to get into the dumb store.

I get angry when salespeople don't know, care, or make an effort to help on any way.

I get frustrated when fast food people can't get it right no matter how many times the order is repeated and how it is written out on the screen. How hard is "A side salad, diet Coke, and a chicken sandwich, no mayo" to get right?

I don't get mad but I do laugh at people who zoom past me like they're firemen on the way to a blaze only to end up at the same red light I end up at, side by side. Ha. All that hurry up and stop was for nothing, dork.

Websites that, when you go to leave, have a "Don't Go! We have an offer for you!" pop up and they won't let me just LEAVE. I want to leave the site. Stop begging me to stay. And get your desperate pop ups off of my screen.

Surveys that make you practically do the whole thing then suddenly say you don't qualify. Because I already DID the survey and they have my answers so why actually pay me what they promised? I think SO!

OK, enough rambling. I'm PMS right now so everything bothers me. ESPECIALLY people who tell me I am upset because I'm PMS. Whether I am or not. ;)

Edited to fix crazy typos from my broken keyboard (really!).

You guys really have me thinking about all the peeves I have  lol, my list has grown throughout the day so here's a few more.....am I complaining too much???  me thinks not ;)

The "Do Not Call List"  need I say more, but I will; we've been getting calls in the morning, afternoon and at night, after 9:pm, what happened to that list?

How about recorded calls that call back if you don't answer.

People who bump into you hard and don't say they're sorry.

When I see someone leaving a dairy or deli  item on a random store shelf because they no longer want it, go put it back !!

Open packages of cookies on a shelf.

I forgot my worst pet peeve. Pens that don't write unless you scribble furiously on a different piece of paper to get them started.

Then run out in mid sentence and need the scribble treatment again. I have thrown pens across the room at times due to that. I hate that!

It depends on the day of the week... haha I could probably list a million but let's go with the most recent.  Peeve #1 - people who drive recklessly with no regard to the people around them.  Today on the way home this fancy red sports car came flying at me while I was stopped at a light.  My sedan doesn't speed up that fast so when the light turned green I was waiting for him to hit me.  Turns out he was racing or fighting with the motorcycle in the lane next to me.  They both flew around me and cut me off so they could continue their fighting....

Seriously this is what gives people heart attacks!  Take your fights OFF THE ROAD. Jerks!

One of my pet peeves is when a sales person answers the phone & takes care of that person on the phone while I wait.  It seems to me that the person who has driven to the store and waited in line should take priority over someone who makes a phone call.

People that drive stupid (too slow in the fast lane, not using blinker, not paying attention, etc.)

Men leaving the toilet seat up.

Fast food workers not saying thank you or have a nice day, they just look at you stupid, even after telling them thank you. - I actually refuse to tell them anything now unless they tell me something first.

Loud people in public places.

Cars with music so loud you can hear it over your own.

People that hate their job because it usually shows.

Slow websites.

and I'm sure I can think of more...

There are some good ones here. . . I have a couple pet peeves:

When someone is in a bad mood and wants to spread that bad mood. . . That's the BIG one for me.

When it's the holiday shopping season and the cashiers are just burnt out and a customer treats them like crap for no reason at all. . . Here's a little tip: Don't go out holiday gift and decor shopping unless you're in the mood to do so, and when you do, do it when you have time, not in a rush, enjoy it, stay happy and except that you'll be waiting in lines. Then, throw the cashier a smile, say thank you and tell them to have a good holiday season, especially if you are out shopping on a holiday or the eve of a holiday (cause that's the last place they want to be on the holiday). Trust me, those cashiers have the hardest time during the holiday season; they need a few kind words. (Can you tell I use to work in retail? ;oP)

Oh, Oh, BayouBengal! How about when you go into the ladies room and found that you walked into the stall after a "hover-er?" You know, when a lady is so affraid of the toilet seat that they hover it to pee and leave sprinkle? They are germiphobes, themselves, so you'd think they'd have the decency to wipe the seat up after them selves, but no-o-o! Urg! That one ticks me off! Ew! A cell phone has 10x more bacteria on it than a public toilet and that's what those sanitary seat covers are for! I'm a woman who's willing to admit that a ladies restroom is more disgusting than a men's restroom!

I agree with you about the Adult TV ads. . . . I'm a coupon finder and clipper (When combining the coupons with ad items, you'd be surprised how much mula you save!), but that's why I try to find e-coupons that I can load onto the club card and get scanned quick, I go to the grocery store at their slowest time, then when I get to the check-out, I let the cashier know I have coupons and I suggest they call for another checker.

About doctors - let me tell you some specialists are a 5 month wait to get the intake appointment. So I say "if I wait that long, am I going to end up having trouble getting follow-up appointments?" No no no ma'am. I had to cxl my appt... one month till the next one. missed that one... one month until the next one. They can "fit me in" if I need one sooner, but now I have to schedule my day around the available appointment, instead of scheduling one to fit me.

happens to me over and over! WTF? tell me the truth at first and I will actually find a specialist that has appointments!

I can't stand people that take their dogs into Petco or PetSmart or wherever. It's not necessary, and I have been jumped on, tripped, stepped in pi**, dogs start fighting with each other. I have had dogs all my life, and I have never brought one of them to a pet store unless it was for grooming services!

Children on leashes! There's another one!

People wearing pajamas in public... if you are sleepwalking, or your house burned down and you have no other clothes - fine. Keep the jammies in the bedroom!

And, yes women's restrooms can be nasty... especially because of the monthly condition most women have, and how some of them are less than thoughtful... no more info... you ladies know what I mean.

I hate it when your waiting at a left-turn-on-green arrow intersection and the left arrow finally turns green.  However, the person first in line is yakking on their cell phone and doesn't go. By the time they hear the cacaphony of car horns behind them are go, the light is yellow, quickly turning red, and everyone else must wait for the next green light.

As much as I think cell phones are a great invention, I can't stand people who talk or text on them constantly while with me. I feel invisible. I understand if a call comes or whatever but have the decency to actually talk to the person you are face to face with and not all the people inside the little box in your hand. My own sister does that to me and I hate it. I want to fling the phone out the window. I never use my phone when I am with people unless necessary.

I also really get peeved when restrooms only have blowers to dry your hands. I understand paper is expensive but I don't have 5 minutes to blow dry my hands. I go crazy and either end up wiping my hands on my jeans or using my own tissues. I cannot drip dry hands!

Lastly, I don't like walking into a doctor's office's restroom and seeing pee cups lined up on the sink or toilet. I do understand people need to do that but someone, get them outta there if it's a restroom used by everyone in the office. I cringe every time I have to look at those cups. One of my doctors has a little cupboard with a door that you put the cups in. Brilliant. More places should have that!

Bad Mood spreaders - let's move that up to my biggest pet peeve!  Now that you mention it.  I don't mind someone who wants to complain and maybe needs a little encouragement, but don't just complain for the sake of complaining and then ignore any comfort I try to give.

I got stuck behind a lady who must have had at least 30 coupons. It took all day to scan them. This was at 6pm, peak shopping time. Long lines.

Those adult ads have gotten ridiculous. I find myself using the mute button more and more these days.

Those ads can be rather embarrassingly blunt, especially when you're in a room full of mixed company say, during a holiday. Not cool at all.

I have a cell phone and its use is for emergencies or when my internet connection goes down and Vonage forwards my calls to it. What happens to you happens to everyone and I especially hate it when my family does it! Do you know what they are talking and texting about? Nothing! Or something that is not so important that it needs to be taken care of at that moment! If I had a regular cell phone, people would be bothering me endlessly throughout the day with random nonsense that could be talked about when I am at home and have time.

How about people texting during movies? Why did you pay $9.50 to go see a movie if you aren't even going to watch it? The tiny glowing screens are so distracting.
