Is there anyway we could have some sort of little note or something that pops up when a review is posted that would state "reviews may take up to ____ hrs to show on your profile.  If you don't see your review within ___hrs please contact ____"

 Might help some out with frustration knowing that a short lag time may be normal.

I am experiencing the same thing this morning.  The number tally shows on my profile page but not the article nor does it show up under recent artlcles.  The link will take you there but I am the only one who knows it...

Hey guys. As always, thanks for reporting. We've found a rare bug that is preventing some (but oddly, not all) reviews from posting immediately to the profile page as they are intended. There is always a 30 min. delay for published reviews to appear in search results and in the latest reviews feed... but they should always appear on the profile page immediately. Thankfully, this is not consistentely happening but we absolutely want to make a correction so it doesn't ever happen. We're working to resolve this delay. Hang in there. Your patience is much appreciated.

The bug, unfortunately, is biting my newest one as well.  I wrote a Billy Joel review this morning/early afternoon and everything went swimmingly well...but it is not showing up in my profile at the moment.  I know it exists...I even have it in my Favorites and my RSS feed, but it's not visible in either the home page - and it's been up for over two hours - or my profile.

 

Mine shows up in the RSS feed as well but still isn't showing up on my profile page several hours later.  It is odd that it registers in some spots yet not in others.  [Twilight Zone music playing in the background] 

You all jinxed me. ;)  It happened to me too. My latest review isn't showing on my profile page. :/

I'd say it's a NY thing except for the fact that Fardreamer is from Florida. hmmmm

It seems that bug is not discriminatory. I too am wondering what happened to my Range Cafe review. I actually was going append something about the Creme Brulee' but couldn't even find the original posting. I hope it gets resolved soon.

I graduated from South Miami High and attended Miami-Dade Community College (now Miami-Dade College). Which campus did you go to?  I went to South (now Kendall) Campus.

Fardreamer: I honestly do not remember if there were even multiple campuses that long ago.  If the south campus existed back then [early 70s] then that is where I most likely went.  [I was doing good to even remember as much as I did!]

Yes, South Campus was around in the early 1970s.  I think it opened in 1971.  By the time I went in 1985, it was already aging somewhat.

I wrote my top ten list and comparison review and both are gone. Please just give me credit for writing them and know that I did and not make me rewrite when you can't find them.

OK, I lied. But it was worth a shot. ;)

I will hold off writing until things are settled down today.

Uh, oh!  I had a draft that just needed a picture added so I added the picture and posted it.  It immediately posted on my profile page.  I thought that was great until I left the page, went to the Community page and came back.  Now I am missing two articles.  I should have left well enough alone....

I have experienced the same problem from time to time. I don't know what causes it, but I have given it time and, within a day or so, it eventually does show up.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing this.  Now and then, this seems to happen.  What apparently is happening is that the profile pages can't go on to form another page in the listing of reviews, so it has to keep dumping the new ones to accommodate whatever it can on the list.  You can find  your reviews by going into the reviews before or after them -- see where the reviews are listed at the bottom of each review?  Well, your "missing" reviews will be there.  This seems to happen now and then and like Bryan says, eventually everything goes back to normal.

the disappearing review thing has happened to me for at least a month now.  It usually shows up the next morning, but you can find it if you go to the last listed review and look at the bottom for the "recent reviews"

And the thing of it is that the "missing" review - at least in my case today - does show up in my RSS feed, so it's in the system, as it were.  I guess it's just a bit aggravating when one isn't used to having this happen.

YUP just posted an elliptical review and it's not showing up (Well not just - about 15 minutes ago).

I get alerts about new reviews and Laurie's, which seemed to have disappeared today, was sent to me as a new review with a link which I clicked, read, and rated. So the reviews ARE on the site and they do have a URL. I have had reviews seem to poof but they have been rated when they reappeared so they are findable. I usually don't worry unless a couple of days pass and my profile page isn't updated. I have never lost a review here.

I know my Billy Joel review is in the system; all I have to do to find it is look for my RSS feeds on both Firefox and IE and voila! It's there.  I even got into Viewpoints through it, so it does work and is not in draft mode or "dead." 

Guess what? The problem you are referring to is happening to me right now. I posted a beer review about four hours ago. It is missing from my home page and from the "Just In" list. Logging off and back in made no difference.

Bryan, go to the last review listed in your profile and look on the bottom.  Do you see it listed there?

Yep, sure enough- it does list there. But it doesn't show up anyplace else.

Thanks everyone for all the reports. Rest assurred that nothing is ever really lost!!! :) We will figure this out. In fact, IMing with Leon right now. We are working on it! Now, if I could just get a life at 11pm on Fridays. :) Thanks for being patient everyone.

Like I said, I've been dealing with this "bug" for a month or two now.  The reviews are always visible on my profile page the next morning.  In fact, I have one that is missing tonight.  I'm so used to it, though, that I'm not worried about it.
