My screen name is personal to me.  When my grandma died several years ago, I was having a very tough time moving on and I wasn't handling myself very well.  Someone told me, "I know what you are going through is very difficult, and it doesn't seem like it, but, this too shall pass".  I had heard it before but it didn't mean anything to me until this part in my life.  Now it is a quote that I try to adhere to in difficult times of sadness.

Just wondering...how did you decide on your Viewpoints screen name?  Is it personal to you, funny, or did you just think it up as you were registering?

My screen name speaks of how I am. I  usually stay up very late at night and most of my jobs when I was working were of the graveyard shift. I find the night time to be so quieting and is the best time to meditate or pray, what other screen name could I choose but " loveofnight "

That is a great reason for your screen name!  Thanks for sharing.

Mine is a web-wide screen name.  I choose it years ago.  It took me a lot of thought and really what it came down to is I wanted something simple, catchy, easy to remember and with no numbers.  Plus, I want to live long (which is what viva suzi means :) )

Now I find that 95% of the time I go to a website, if vivasuzi is taken, it usually means I already have an account there!  There have been a few times my vivasuzi was stolen (hence why I don't use it on twitter) but overall it's me, anywhere you go :)

Actually, this2, when you friended me, I was afraid you were my MIL! She uses that phrase all the time for every situation. I'd rather have it have the significance it has for you.

Mine is just 2 letters short of my real name. So, no big deep reason. It's unusual enough that I usually get it as a screen name if I want it. Usually if I get it, I pair it with the mask picture.

Very long story, but I've been using Rudi Xeno as a pen name for about 40 years!

I have been using my user name since I married into it. lol. I used to be WOTFPATTY (or wotf_patty) everywhere. That was because my website was called Wrestling on the Fringe (WOTF). I decided to use my real name on one site not realizing how involved I would be there for so long (and still am). I toggled between my real name and wotfpatty for a long time then succumbed to using my real name where it mattered, like here.

I use various names elsewhere. On twitter, I am LadyNightowl (no need to explain THAT one!) and on some sites just PattyT. Here, I just chose my real name because it's failrly established now and I didn't want to use yet another pen name. Where I write a lot, I use my real name. I feel it helps people to trust me. Plus, it's easy for me to remember. lol.

Nope, not your MIL!  :)

Mine is very significant and I usually don't think of the phrase without thinking of my grandma too :)

I'm all over the Internet with another name and I suggested to the Viewpoints people that I use that name here. I can't remember why but we all decided I'd use a different name here. And it's just my name: Bob Kovacs. When Viewpoints first started, there was a preference for the first batch of reviewers to come across as regular people. Thus the long-time members usually have real names and actual pictures.

I've been using mine for about 15 years now. I read a series of sci fi books long ago, and the main character had a ship, named Sundowner. When I figrst registered for a place, that was taken, so I added the two, and have been that on most places I've joined for so long, it's second nature to me to use it.

I too use my screen name all over the internet.  Most places I join already have this2shallpass taken, so I gave up a long time ago and just added 19 (my birthday) to the end.  It is the screen name for almost all of the sites I visit, except PokerStars.net in which I am SDcaligirl79 :)  So if you see a this2shallpass19 anywhere, say hi - it's probably me!

I picked my name because I'm a mom and I was born in 1975. I use this name for alot of things I join. I'm a mom first.

Oh yeah! We even got to go to Sears for pictures! I gave up that pic ages ago but it's still around on my picture page. I remember they did prefer real names and asked for real pics which was fine with me because I used my real name and my real pic anyway.

Well sorry to hear about your grandmother. But i just made mine simple and to the point i put the first to letters of my first name. then my middle initial and my full last name. I used something that i could remember.

I usually only use "pitcherday" and its associated mask avatar, on sites of a social nature. I thought "daynap" would be an easy one to use, but I did not realize that it, too, is two real words, and people kept asking me if I had trouble sleeping. I was really confused by those messages, too, because I saw dayna p and not day nap. XD

When I first read your comment, I too saw day nap :)  As long as we know what it means, that's all that matters!

I'm from Virginia and I'm a bookworm :o) And I was born in 87...

It all seems fairly intuitive, but I some people don't get the Virginia part. I use this username for everything though, so if you ever come across a VaBookworm87, it's me!

I love your screen name, this2shallpass19! Sorry to hear about your grandma.

My screen name is sort of my real name. I have always used my first and middle name for screen names. Wouldn't you know (KristaLynn) was taken when I joined Viewpoints. So I shorten it to KrisLynn. I've started to use SweetPeaAngel on other sites.

What a fun topic!  Thanks, this2.

I chose my screen name because my cattery is GlasSlipper, and I was born in 65...Yikes, I'm old!  ;)

I tried using just GlasSlipper but found it was taken on many sites, so just gave up and added the 65.  I have found I don't ever have to think of a new screen name now!

I love to read about Queen Elizabeth I.  In fact, I read everything about her that I can get my hands on.  Thus, Tudorlady.  There must be a lot of Tudor fans because on many sites, someone has taken that screen name before me.

In that case, I add the number 22 to the end of Tudorlady.  That number has followed me since I was a junior in high school.  It usually serves to remind me that every cloud has a silver lining!

I was going to use a different derivation of my name, but I couldn't use one of my official pen-names without a slight risk of unwanted exposure....  So like on some other internet sites it's my real name.

Brighde is an old Celtic version of my full first name, which I hate... But I love the meaning behind it. Depending on where you look or who you ask, Brighde is/was the Celtic Goddess of health & healing, strength, motherhood... In general, she is the embodiment of a strong woman, and that is what I strive to be.

my screen name is barts-wife -- I'll give you three chances to guess my last name!! I am not of fan of the infamous "Simpson's" and got tired of hearing hey where's Marge?  Worst of all - my husband had 'specialize' license plate for awhile!!

My story is a long one, so I will make it short and simple. My favorite verse of all time has been 23rd Psalm " MY CUP RUNNETH OVER " I was  divorced and trying to get my life together. ( this took years ) Anyways, I changed my life all the way around. Gave my life back to God, changed jobs and started all over with a new attitude. I had 2 grown children, both married and 1 beautiful granddaughter. Then one day at work I met the man of my dreams, I knew God brought this man to me when he told me his name. We have been married now for 2 wonderful years and I gained a 10 year old daughter and now have 4 grandchildren. By the way, the man I married has the last name CUPP. So itjust seemed right to have my screen name as "OURCUPPISFULL" I know my name here is JoeysGirl, but I really go by ourcuppisfull because it reminds me everyday how God is in my life.
