I'm curious about how much people are spending for gas in different locations. I am paying about $3.95 per gallon, but if I drive 20 miles to the south or west, it is only $3.69. I still do not understand why there are such big fluctuations in price.

I'm across the bridge in Sarnia and we're paying 71.9 litre which converts to approximately $3.55 for the imperial gallon on your side. It's come down so much in price since the summer it's hard to believe. We just can't afford the crazy prices and my job requires me to drive from client to client for their homecare so I'm stuck driving whether I want to or not.

Bryan here, back with my weekly "broken record" gasoline report.
Kroger was selling gas for only $1.45 per gallon this morning. Add my 10 cent Kroger frequent shopper discount, and I paid only $1.35 per gallon. Unbelievable!
Could this be a repeat of the mid 1980's when the Opec members had an internal squabble and oil prices collapsed?

I'm just outside Dayton, OH and we've got some places as low as $1.38. I don't complain as much anymore these days.

"My" gas station was $1.46 on the way home and one about 2 miles down the road was $1.53. I won't need to gas up for about 2-3 more days so I'll post again then ;+)

Well, it looks like the trend toward super cheap gas prices has temporarily ended.
The lowest price I saw in my area was $1.29 per gallon. That was at the very end of 2008. Today, the lowest price I can find is $1.53 per gallon.
Residents in my area can now breathe a sigh of relief (Remember- I live in Houston).

This week regular gas is running 1.75/gal as the low--some other stations higher.
Locally, much reduced travel was noted over the recent holiday period.

Here in Houston, the price per gallon is about $1.89.
Looks like our oil jobs are safe for now. Houstonians were started to sweat when the price kept falling and falling.
