I'm curious about how much people are spending for gas in different locations. I am paying about $3.95 per gallon, but if I drive 20 miles to the south or west, it is only $3.69. I still do not understand why there are such big fluctuations in price.

Just now getting under $2.... $1.99 paying with cash in this area. Further north and apparently in the south according to Vivasuzi it has been that way for a while.

Wow! I wish our gas was that low. It has just come down to $2.24 in Ballston Spa, NY. My first son reports gas at $2.19 in Tampa, Fl. and my second son reports it at $1.97 in Virginia while my third son says it is $2.28 in Provo, Utah.
Not all gas stations are created equal in pricing though. Coming home last night I saw one station at $2.59. Most are around $2.35. argh!

Another new low spotted today- only $1.65 per gallon! It now costs me only $30 to fill my tank. When prices were at their peak in my area, it cost $72 for a fill- up.
These prices need to level off soon- the Houston economy performs best when the prices are higher. Anyone else hoping for gas prices to increase about fifty percent from where they are now?

I paid $1.49 with my stop and shop card last Friday!!I earned a discount for shopping there and it paid off..Loving the price drop..It doesn't hurt as much to go get gas.Now if other prices will follow suit since it's costing less to deliver the products right?Maybe I ask for too much. :)

I just paid $1.75 per gallon at a Sheetz station in Waterloo, VA, a small crossroads east of Winchester. It was $12 for a fillup, as this car has a small tank and it was at half-full when I started.

Down to
$1.98 at last fill up in Aurora, IL. I can now fill-up my Ford Freestyle for about
$32.00, that is half of what it took in the summer. The Economist might say this is bad news, but my bank account loves it!

Last night I passed a gas station in Roanoke, VA and the gas was only $1.65!! I didn't stop since I had plenty of gas already.. I would have to say that the average around here is around $1.70. (give or take a dime). I can fill up my car with $20.00!!! love it!! I was paying about $45.00 to fill up.

Down to the 1.60s over here :)
My mom says with all the talks of hybrid and how Obama says we HAVE to go that way, that the gas countries are getting worried and lowering prices per barrel in hopes we will forget all the Hybrid talk. Hopefully the USA isn't that dumb to fall for it.

Ha! We're actually lower than you all now! Prices dropped a dramatic .20 today to around 1.57
A lot of this is just the market stabalizing itself back out from the mega gouging that was occurring as well as a drop in the amount of oil China/Japan are buying recently. Lots of factors but I'm pretty sure Obama is not one of them.

Here in Georgia we are down to $1.54 today! Woo Hoo! Keep on droppin! It's been more than 2 years since I have seen gas prices this low! Of course it would come in the winter time when my gas guzzling dually truck with the 454 engine is parked and not pulling the 45 foot RV around, HA HA. I figure it will be just my luck than when we are getting ready to put it back on the road in April gas will be back up to $5.00 a gallon, but I hope not!

The last time I filled up (high test) I paid $2.13! We see under $2.00 in some places for regular. Wow can't believe how low it's going in other states. We are planned an RV trip in December so at least the cost of gas won't be horrific.

I filled up yesterday for $1.70 because my low fuel alert came on. If I could have gone about 5 miles down the road I could have gotten it for $1.62. But hey, a full tank for less than $20--I'm not complaining!

$1.83 when I went through Oroville in California last weekend. I'm sure it's dropped again. I wonder what diesel is?
