I'm curious about how much people are spending for gas in different locations.  I am paying about $3.95 per gallon, but if I drive 20 miles to the south or west, it is only $3.69.  I still do not understand why there are such big fluctuations in price.

My husband just paid $3.32 today.  I'm glad it's finally going down.  Our highest was $3.99...thankfully we never broke  $4.00.

I live in west GA and we have been paying around $3.47 a gallon at our Super Wal-mart! The highest it has been here was $4.05 for only a week and then it went down.

Geez... seeing these posts recently makes me want to move.  Paid $3.65 using my Kroger .10 off the other day.  Prices are down to around 3.66 or so right now, but there was a mini-jump in prices on Friday.  Gotta love the economy of Michigan.

I just bought a car (someone give me a good point. It looks naked) and it takes premium. I'm happy when I see $3.99!

I got rid of my premium gas car [Acura] and haven't looked back once.

It is pretty bad when we think anything under $4.00 is a good thing isn't it?  :-)

Yeah that's how they get you.  They make it go up up up, so when it goes down even a little, we all say "that isn't bad" and we all forget that earlier this year it was much lower.

Friday it was $ 3.69 a gallon.  Today, Sunday, it is up to $ 4.19.  I don't get it.

Friday it was $3.56, Saturday it was $4.09, Today (Sunday) I called and it is $4.19. This is ridiculous and uncalled for!! This is in central Alabama.

Our gas has been shooting up! Friday it was $3.69 and today it is $4.09. I live in west Georgia. I know someone that lives in Savannah, GA and Friday their gas was $4.15. There is a lot of price gouging going on. It is ridiculous!!!

Today's prices are around $3.50 per gallon, up slightly from a week ago. This isn't bad when you consider that the Houston area just got rocked by hurricane. The price is up, but only by about 15 cents per gallon.

The other interesting thing is that the gasoline price varies widely from one gas station to the next. Kroger might be selling gas for $3.40 per gallon while the Shell next door is selling for $3.80 per gallon. I assume the differences are due to the variations in present supplies from one gas station to the next and the estimated time until the next truck arrives with more gasoline.

It's $4.00 and up here, and most gas stations are either completely out of regular and the mid-grade quality gas. Others are rationing it out. It SUCKS!

I paid $3.63 GAL for Regular today.  The price of oil jumped $20+ barrel today so expect prices at the pump to go up again real soon.

The price of gas is not the problem in GA right now. Many, many stations are running out of gas. People are having to wait in lines for hours. I hope this changes soon!

Yep that's how it works.  Think about it, if gas owners already paid a certain amount of many for gas and they have it in there tanks, the gas price goes down.  Well if they lower the price on the gas they already bought then they lose money.  They have to wait until the next load and then they lower the price.

I stopped at a station in Fredricksburg, VA, today where the price was $3.09 for regular gasoline. Unfortunately, I had to get premium, which was $3.29. I love the direction the prices are going! --Bob

Gotta love Michigan being the last to do just about anything that will bring relief, yet the first to jump when a hurrican hits... We were up to $5.00 when Ike went through... even though 90% of our stations do not get fuel from Texas.

Prices are finally coming down we've hit the lowest in forever at $3.34

They are still all over the place here but are on the way down.  I saw one posting today for $3.19 at a Mobil.  My son says it is down to $3.34 in Provo, Utah where he attends school.

The prices are dropping. On my way to work today, I saw gas selling for $2.99 a gallon, the first sub- $3.00 price I have seen in a while.
