As we approach the holiday season,  I'm wondering has the so-called recession affected the way you go shopping this year, and the gifts you give as well as the quantities of gifts compared to last year.  Will this year be different moderately, drastically, or not at all.  Tell me what you think.

I think so far as the quantities of gifts, i may cut back, but the quality of the gifts will be enormous.

It'll be at least moderately different.  We're spending less than we have in the past

Moderately different; increase in quantity and no difference in quality (which has always leaned towards high).

In my home it will be Moderately Different. More Gift Baskets , Less cost. More Variety in the gift baskets and more personalized gifts! Just got my boss hers. I ordered a Coffee mug w/ her picture from my daughter's wedding , and some coasters of her and her husband! Going to put that in a gift basket w/ some hot cocoa, and some cinnamin sticks and some other goodies.

It hasn't changed for my family.  We always draw names out of a hat for my in-laws.  Their family is so big, NO ONE could afford to shop for all of them :)  My mom, my husband and I always buy whatever we want for each other, with no real price limit.
