5.  I am mechanically inclined.  Can figure out complicated workings of things, but since I am small and have no strength, I can only tell someone what is wrong and what to look at to solve the problem.

Ok, my turn now:

1. I have visited 47 out of the 50 states. Alaska, Hawaii, and Oklahoma still remain.

2. I went to ten different schools from grades one through twelve. My parents would jump up and move for any reason or no reason.

3. I have sampled about 1,500 different beers (not all at once).

4. I am "allergic" to cold weather, in a sense. My nose runs incessantly when the mercury drops and I lose both my sense of taste and smell (why do you think I moved to Houston?). Not good for someone who likes to evaluate beer and other food and drink.

5. I make my main living as an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller, with teaching and writing as side jobs.

 

My 17 year old son wanted to know what the tongue touching the nose was all about.

1. I can run an IV pump, ventilator, and dialysis machine (all at the same time) but sometimes have the darndest time with the answering machine, TV, and DVD player.
2. I can't do the "boat" pose but still teach yoga classes.
3. I've been white water rafting, rock climbing, and rappelling.
4. I have actually sunburned my eyeballs.
5. I've read the Bible through a couple of times but still don't understand a lot of it.

1) I prefer cold water, but I will drink more of it if it's room temperature

2) I don't like cold breakfast food in the morning (cereal, yogurt), so I usually have a TV dinner.

3)  Pizza, enchiladas, chicken parmesan and pasta are my favorite foods

4) My favorite TV chef is Tyler Florence

5) The fastest I ever read a book was 24 hours and it was about someone I'm not even interested in: Elvis.

Wow!  I haven't posted to this board in a while and there were a lof of new facts on everyone.  My turn!  My turn!

1. I wear a size 4 tennis shoe and my dress shoes range in size from 5-6.
2. My ring finger is a size 3 3/4 and my middle finger is a size 4 or 4 1/2.
3. My hands and feet are always cold, even when I have something on them.
4. I am addicted to lip balm, lip-gloss, and body creams.
5. I take a bubble bath every Saturday when I am at home.

1.  Years ago I won a week long trip to Bermuda in a raffle drawing.

2.  We have 4 computers in the house....2 laptops and 2 pcs.

4. The only music I listen to is "Oldies" (from the 50s) with a country song thrown in there now and then.

5. I don't own a coffee pot.  But my neighbor does and every chance I get I go there for a cup or two.  She would be upset if I quit getting my coffee there.  I do buy her coffee and creamer every now and then because I drink her coffee so often.

A little late to the party, but I thought I would share some random facts about myself:

1.  I love raw onions.  If they have a sweeter tinge to them, I will eat slices by themselves.

2.  I am addicted to cookies.  My wife calls me the cookie-monster, because I can never seen to pass one up.

3.  I am left-eye, right hand dominant.  Which is pretty rare, and not helpful when I try to play first-person shooting video games.

4.  I sleep better during the day than at night.  It often lends itself (too-often) to late nights during the week, and long naps on the weekend.

5.  I am a speed-reader. 

Yes, I am an odd cookie... no pun intended.

1. My first motorcycle was a '65 Honda 305 Scrambler built from scrap parts found here and there.
2. According to the Urban Dictionary, I'm a "born again virgin" (more than a year between sexual relations). However, I'm willing to sell my virginity to the highest (female) bidder. d;-)
3. I've read the bible through a few times, but still don't believe it.
4. I once had my nose, right wrist, and right shin broken in a head-on collision. There were one or two minor contusions as well, but what's a few cuts n scratches among vehicular assailants huh?
5. Sometimes, when it gets really quiet, I like to yell "Attica!" just to watch people jump.

1. I love collecting stuff on the Titanic and would love to explore the shipwreck.
2. I have a Webkinz monkey, Build-A-Bear Monkey and a doll--all 3 named Savannah but if I ever have a little girl I want to name her Greenleigh.

4. I still have a doll that was given to me for my 10th birthday.

1.  I have a huge collection of beanie babies, teenie beanies, and buddies.........hundreds!!!

2.  I won a Nintendo Wii as a door prize last year at a company function.  I picked the envelope and had to read what the prize was.  Since knowing nothing about that thing.... I said " It  says Nintendo W i i ".   They chuckled and then explained to me what it was and what it did.  One month later I sold it on Ebay and got big bucks for it.   I could always use the money more than I would use that thing!  ha ha 

3.  I still have my 1st pair of baby shoes which were bronzed years ago.  Trust me, they are antiques!!

4.  I tend to buy too many little bath and kitchen rugs......got tons of them in the house, but most of them are in the attic and the closets.

5. I can grow an ivy plant for years.  I had 3 inside plants that were each 14 years old, but give me one cactus and it will be dead in 2 weeks. 

1. I just bought my first Build-A-Bear dog. Actually, it is a Jack Russell Terrier dog. Its name is Nicholas just like my REAL Jack Russell. A $1 is donated to the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation to support animal shelters, pet rescue, and rehab organizations.
2. I collect Carousel Horses. I have several 4-horse carousels and 5-horse carousels. Then, I have a couple single horses. 
3. I collect Jack Russell Terrier statues and figurines.
4. I still have my first babydoll an "Adoption Doll". Her name is Holly and she has yellow hair. I used to even by baby clothes for her.
5. I have cross-stitched (20x30) two Carousel pictures and a dolphin picture. It probably six months to finish all of them. I cross-stitch Christmas ornaments throughout the year and then sell them on Etsy.

5.  I never want to live outside of Nebraska.  I'm sooooo comfortable here and it's such a beautiful state.  Enough said.

Five fun facts about me...

1. I am 41 years old and have had over 30 different jobs (and am currently looking for a job!).

2.I am engaged to the most wonderful man who is 17 years younger than me and has Cerebral Palsy.

3. I ave hiked to the top of Mt. Rogers (the highest peak in Virginia at 5729 ft.).

4.My son was accidentally shot by his dad just a few days before my daughter went into premature labor with my grandson.

5. I have learned that when life keeps handing you lemons that not only can you make lemonade but also, lemon pie, lemon pudding, lemon cookies, lemon sherbet, etc. etc. etc....tee hee.

1.  I'm deathly afraid of someone breaking into our home, hiding in the basement, and killing us as we slept. The BTK killer resurfaced when I was in college, so that is the root of THAT fear!

 2.  I have a terrible short-term memory. I can tell you who gave my son what gift at his baby shower or what my husband and I did on our third date, but I can't tell you whether or not I closed the garage door this morning.

3.  When I was 14, I went to the mountains with a church group and became sick with a cold. Because I had a sore throat and full ears, both ear drums burst with the altitute change. As a result, I can't hear things behind me.

4.   I'm only 24, but I look and feel much older. Someone asked me how old I was a few weeks ago, and I really had to stop and think about it.

5.   I'm in a quarter life crisis. I don't know what I want to do with my life. Do I go back to school and get into a more stable profession? Or do I get my master's in marketing to better myself in the corporate world? GAH!

1. Heading to Paris on Friday.
2. My husband and I have been together for 26 years and it is marriage #2 for both of us.
3. I hope I can fit into the dress I bought for my stepson's wedding!
4. We gave up our gym memberships. I'm looking forward to working out at home. Coming first is the Nordic Track Audio Strider.
5. Thinking about the storm warnings we are getting.

1. I still have a baby molar.
2. I have my spring/family vacation scheduled for May 9-20th ;+)
3. I still do ballet after all these years.
4. I'm staring at a picture of my sister and me that was taken at a family fun park on 8/25/95--I was VERY dark and I have braces ;+)  Where has the time gone?
5. My brother's anniversary was yesterday and his birthday is today.  I also have a friend who was born on my brother's birthday.
