1. If you had seen me at 20, 30, 40...you'd never think I would always be dieting!

1. I was in a public school from 1-11th grade and then I chose to go to a Christian school my senior year.  The public school had 457 graduates that year and my graduating class at the Christian school only had 21 ;+}
2. I was a finalist in the Miss Teen SC pageant when I was 15 but backed out of the state level when I found out I had to wear a swimsuit on stage.
3. I was the first girl to play on an all boys street hockey team in college.  It wasn't forbidden--the girls just didn't want to do it.  I was on a speed skating team and knew how to ice-skate so they recruited me.  After a successful year 2 more girls joined the next year and I believe they are pretty much co-ed now. 
4. I've been in the same hometown since I was 2; except of course for the 6 years that I lived in TN while in college.
5. I'm going to be in a Christmas parade on Sunday!!  This parade is going to be televised some time after Christmas on a local network.  Still debating what to wear. 

1. I was a bench warmer on the girls' basketball team when I was in the 9th grade.
2. My mom wanted me to be a majorette so I joined the JROTC and twirled a rifle instead.
3. I have no will power after one bite of something I like.
4. My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 22:30.
5. I loved going white water rafting twice on the Chattoga River (same one where the movie Deliverance was filmed) and would love to have the chance to do it again some day. (I have some cool pictures of when I was knocked out of the boat upside down and backwards in the Bull Sleuce rapid.)

1.  I picked out my daughter's name when I was five years old.
2.  Always new I wanted to be a teacher.  Had my baby brother sitting up in front a chalk board before he was a year old.
3.  I won a contest in 2nd grade for making a litter control poster:  "Our town could be a smash, if you'd just pick up trash!" (So you see Lisa the corniness started early but really got reinforced.)
4. I write a column for the Kid's Korner in In the Kitchen magazine.
5. I have two black labs, Jackson (after the river) and Samson (from the Bible.)  Jackson is Samson's son but the bible doesn't mention that Samson ever had a son so we named him after the river.

I love your Bible passage and isn't that a beautiful thought and it will be a sight to see :+)  My favorite verses/passages are: Isa. 40:31, Jer. 29:11-13, Philippians 3:13-14 and I Peter 4:12-16.

I went white water rafting several times with my youth group.  We usually went on the Nantahalia and I fell out of the raft too while going thru the Lesser Wesser. Well, I still say I didn't fall out, I think some of the guys pushed me overboard but they said that when we hit a rougher current I flipped off the side--yeah, right!  We also did the Ocoee and then some of my college friends and I did the Chattahoochee.  ~Gigi 

1. My license expired in May and I just renewed it on the 24th.  We have 9 months after the expiration to renew our license without retaking the tests or penalty fees.  I didn't know my license expired until I went to write a check at Kohl's and the cashier told me.
2. I cannot drive a car with a manual gear shift.
3. I wrecked one of my brother's motorcycle in high school when he was trying to teach me how to drive.
4. I wrecked my oldest brother's car in college while taking the driving test to get my license. Mike, I was at the Chattanooga DMV and obviously failed that test.  The kids in the youth group told my brother to take me to Athens so he did and that is where I got my license ;+)
5. Since I am on the driving theme: I hit a bunny and a dog in the same week.  I then dreamed of hitting an elephant and when I told my best friend about this she said, "Well, your animals are getting bigger so you're either going to hit a deer or a person."  I haven't hit another animal since! 

BTW--My best friend was with me both times and it was dark and the animals ran out in the road.  I was crying hysterically both times and she had to switch seats and get us to her house.    

1. I never hit a home run in khoury league baseball. (Similar to little league.) However....
2. In the older divisions stealing was allowed.  I led my team 2 yrs. in a row with the most walks, most stolen bases & most runs scored.
3. I was once a "roadie" for a local hard rock band.
4. I've met the late, great Lou Rawls.
5. I've met, shook hands with & talked with Stan "The Man" Musial.

That's my 15 minutes of fame...

1. My favorite holiday is the Fourth of July--I love the patriotic music, honoring our nation and our soldiers, and attending my church's Patriotic Program. Oh, and seeing the fireworks as long as I'm not near the ones being lit.

I've got pictures to prove that the guide's paddle caught me under the chin and pulled me right overboard! I remember thinking, Whew, that was a close one--I nearly fell out but didn't. The next thing I knew, I was under the water.

I've done the Nantahala when I was in high school JROTC. The SGM decided since I had been before that I could serve as a guide for my boat. I believe every other person in my boat had ADHD...

Number 1 CRACKED ME UP!  Also, I must have seen that movie "The Cutting Edge" ten times.  It is good, cheesy fun!
