you can always put up a pic of anything :)  A flower, a dog, a cartoon!  It doesn't have to be you.  So don't hide in the shadows :)  Once people recognize your icon, it starts to help people find you on the site... so even if it's not YOU, it still helps a lot and makes you stand out.  Have fun with it!

Oh and to address the shadow people bit....don't expect too many people to put their face to their review. They'd be attacked and possibly banned if their review was remotely negative. I'm liking Viewpoints and I'll be adding more reviews but I won't be posting a picture of my face.

Very understandable... You could put up something that is scenery or maybe a pet's picture if you don't want to put your own face up there.  It just brings a  little personality to your reviews and profile.

It's starting again. We're being flooded with the same types of reviews. Infighting and all that bull. Could they please go elsewhere to cat fight? I don't understand why people would act this way when their loved ones are serving our country!

Hello. My name is LadyMagic and I used to be a shadow person.  : D

As you see I use an avatar. I came out of the shadows with a little cartoon me. Like others wrote, you can use a pic of anything you like.

You'll find Viewpoints to be a place where everyone and all reviews are accepted. Even a negative review can be welcome - providing, of course, that it's respectful.

 People can have differences but respect is important. It's part of the spirit of the community of Viewpoints. Part of what makes this a great place to review, meet, and share and learn and grow in the process.    : )

Thankfully I havent run into anything negative yet, Viewpoints seem to be an ocean of thought and creative reviews that I am not only glad to put my face on, but really glad I worked up the nerve to actually get involved.  Its unfortunate but I have had people be way to nasty in real life, I hope when the time comes I can handle whatever is put down in writeing. Every line I have read, every profile, and every passionate person here makes me want to stay, and to become a better writer and reviewer.

Fitacat we are glad you are having such a good experience :)  And trust me we will fight to keep it that way!  If you ever encounter anyone rude or mean, tell Meredith or Jolie right away.  It will be had to find someone like that though, because most the people I come across here are laid-back and have a positive attitude (hence why I prefer this site over others!!)
