I learned I didn't have to shower to leave for work because I looked just fine, worked fast so I could make my appt. on time.

I learned I can stay calm being in a dentist chair for about 2 hours, getting prep for a Bridge. Usually I want to freak out. From bad experiences as a kid.

I didn't have to work today, that is alot of times when through conversations I learn something new. Doing my regular work, where as I have more interaction with people. I did work, but it was one...two...three...So I worked, but didn't work..ya know..

I do like learning something new each day. Keeps your brain thinking (I think...lol).

I learned that it is impossible to go back to sleep when someone calls you at 2am and talks and talks until you are awake. argh!

I learned that if you store your hand gardening tools in a container of sand [oil them first] that they won't rust. Now, I will have to see if the trick works!

I learned that I know nothing about gardening :)  My green thumb is a yellow, brown kind of thumb!

Today I learned that if your fall colors look pretty, you should take a pic because they won't last long!  This morning I woke up and everything was rained on and most the leaves were down :(  Whereas yesterday everything was bright, orange and beautiful!   darn it!

Haha, I learned something similar on Wed night... My husband worked late and i was trying to sleep.  Then at 2 Am I woke up and he was talking with his game friends... It took me forever to fall back asleep!

Today I learned how to save room in my closet by attaching a short piece of plastic chain over a hanger and then slipping a different hanger in each link of the chain.

I just learned in here that in some places it's mandatory to recycle and that they will go through your trash to make sure you do so! WOW! I can't believe they can do that! We live in an apartment and recycling is not available to us. Thanks for the question. Take care everyone!

Our local hardware store carries it. You buy it by the foot and then just cut it to the lengths you need.

I learned how to use Windows 7 today. It wasn't much of a learning curve though. It's an easy OS and I like it. Hasta la vista, Vista!

I did learn something new, people can die from drinking to much water.  They had it on television news, about a women who died durning a contest to drink alot of water, without going to the bathroom.

I learned that what information goes in has to go out, or you stall.

Learn a lot of facts but don't share them or apply them: you stall.

Try to give away what you don't have yourself: you stall.

I learned that fresh pumpkin is SO much better than canned!

yes I learned we have a new health care program.  What can I say.  We will have to see how it turn's out.

I almost learned that the hard way. I used to drink tons of water thinking I was doing a great thing for my body. One night, I felt like I was having a heart attack. My heart was racing so fast, I couldn't even walk and I was dizzy and very weak. I went to the ER and my test results came back that I had flushed out my potassium and magnesium from my body and my heart REALLY was in trouble. I had to have IV potassium and oral magnesium before everything settled down. I have had to take several potassium supplements since then every day.

But anyway, I learned today that the 8 gig memory card I thought I had in one of cameras is really a 1 gig one and I need a bigger card. At the same time, I learned that my super shy 19 year old son has a very close friend who is a girl ("Not girlfriend, Ma!") who likes to pose in her vampire Halloween costume. A lot. Taking up my whole memory card.

Sharon, I guess many of us are learning all kinds of things about our politicians because of this. I always knew government had a corrupt side to it, I just didn't realize they could be so blatant about it.

Today I learned that if I put my glasses on the house looks dirtier than if I keep them off.  Oh, my! Guess what I am doing with my day? LOL

I learned that even if you have a license for Windows Server 2008, you still have to pay if you want to upgrade to Server 2008 R2 d:-(

I also learned that it's very hard to be a grumpy old bastage when you're smiling all the time.

Thanks to DUISparky, I learned that the Windows Server 2008 R2 is not considered an upgrade. It is a separate product.

I learned that I have a major crush on a young guy. Well, only a TV one. Derek Hough on Dancing with the Stars. I knew it was brewing but tonight, it became evident that I am crushing on the kid. My husband thinks it's "kinda gross". Haha.

More importantly though, I learned that I can shed tears for the loss of a child who I didn't know existed and his father who I only know in passing from the net. I feel so badly that a 5 year old boy is gone and I can't really do anything to help the family. I donated to the cause of their choice but I had no idea I could have such deep grief for a child I didn't know at all and a family I only know in passing on the net. Funny how the net brings people together and you care about people even though you never talked to them or met them outside of this little box of a computer.

I agree. The net DOES bring us closer together. I have sat reading emails with tears running down my face because of  a story that touched my heart...

Today I learned how to lure my cat into her travel crate so I could get her to the Vet on time.   Ham, she loves honey baked ham. I held a slice out and she followed me all the way to the crate, I put a small piece at the opening and in she went without as much as a meowwww.  lol

Today I learned to take the time to read directions on products THOROUGHLY before using them. It sometimes makes the difference between being satisfied with a product or not. [see my Organix Self-Heating Coconut Oil review] :0

Today I learned that Ontario International Airport has three terminals: Terminal #1, Terminal #2 and Terminal #4.

I'm sure they'll locate Terminal #3 at some point ....

So far, yes. Kinda weird, though. This has never happened to me before.

I learned that I have not recovered from my 18 year old daughter having had ALL (Acute Lympocytic Leukemia) when she was 21 months old. She is wearing a heart monitor right now for 24 hours so they can see what is going on with her heart. She has had so many health problems this year and they are wondering now if all her problems may be due to her heart. I had a meltdown and broke into tears just looking at her. All those old fears, pain, and memories came flooding back.
