I saw a photo taken of the Grand Tetons, and I immediately recognized it: That's my "happy place," the place inside that I escape to.

It has a peaceful lake, surrounded by beautiful mountains. Wow, I feel more relaxed already.

What does your "happy place" look like? Or, if you don't already have one, imagine your perfect spot to relax. What does it include?

My happy place is the Lagoon Pool at Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.  We went there about 2 years ago and I just hated leaving. It was the most peaceful, beautiful place.

Hmmm, I don't know for sure but your ideas both sound great!  I've been to the Bahamas (not the Atlantis) and I do love to look at this one picture I took of the private island that was part of our resort.  It was so peaceful and quiet and not many ppl, nothing but water for miles beyond it.

But honestly my happy place is my bed or my couch :-D  When I feel stressed or whatever, the first thing I imagine myself taking a nap, or lounging later on and it motivates me to get through the day!

All vacation spots are my happy place, because I'm always so excited for anywhere we might be going, even if we have no plans to go.

In a bubble bath- with music and candles... all by myself.

Other happy places:

in the car driving along the freeway at night with the windows down and music playing...

near water- lake or ocean; doesn't matter...

a cabin in the mountains

in a flannel gown on a cold night with the fireplace burning- no matter what is going on, all is right with the world

At the top of Chiricahua National Monument looking out at the rock spires as the sun sets. Extremely peaceful and spiritual.

Or driving into Moab at sunset with snow blowing across the road in drifts.

Or even just leaning by the truck talking with all the old timers down at the county dump on Saturday morning.

Mine is in the infinity pool overlooking the sunshine on the water in Cozumel.  Just thinking about the view makes me smile.

The bubble bath with all the extras is definitely one of the most relaxing and  calming place I can think of that is actually doable.

There is a red boathouse in the Adirondacks that is surrounded by water (obviously), trees, and just...pure beauty. I have often imagined setting up that little house as my office, working out of it while looking out at the water, the mountains, and the crisp blue sky. I have actually gone to the red house in my mind whenever things get so stressed that I feel unhinged. There, all is quiet and all is well. I go there every time we go to the mountains and make a point of getting a picture of the scene although it never changes. I have years worth of pics of me and the kids standing there with the house behind us.

I also go to the ocean. I love the waves and white sand beaches. I have been to several but there isn't one in particular I think of. The beer commercial with the couple sitting in chairs looking out at the ocean ion the beach -- my happy place looks a lot like that! It has birds though -at least seagulls. I love them (crazy as it seems).

I think the red house though has been an ongoing happy place since I first discovered it years ago. My husband even commissioned a local artist to paint it the scene for me - the house and surroundings. It's gorgeous. I have a mouse pad with the red house on it and even a tank top I had made with it on it. Of course, it is often my desktop background as well. Something abut that place takes my stress level from 100 to 4 in under a minute.

Moab is in Utah not too far from the Four Corners region. It is perfect for access to several National Parks, all of which are unbelievably beautiful.

You might try googling Canyonlands National Park for Images though the small screen won't do it justice.

If I ever do a Travel review I'll attach some pics.

There's a little park near my town called the Bull Hole. It has waterfalls, and I've gone there since before it was a park. It's really "out there." I love to go there and also to think about that spot.

Wow! It's been a little while since I've been on here. I like this new discussion!

My "happy place" is more so what I'm doing than where I am physically. When I am using my creativity, whether it be to do art, design jewelry, or crafting something, is when I'm in my "happy place." Though, I must admit being in a JoAnn's, Michael's, Aaron's Brothers, or any other arts, crafts or hobby store gets me pretty gitty too!

Hmmm, Utah was never on my visit list but I might just have to add it.

Haha Cmohr about the shopping trips :)  I tend to want to buy random stuff that I don't even need when I'm in Michael's just because they have such nifty stuff!

I always have to go in with a list of what I need and a budget, otherwise, I'm in trouble. . . My hubby calls JoAnn's my "Bass Pro Shop!" Lol
