Hi guys.

I wanted to let you know that we are rolling this out tonight in the middle of the night. There will be some funkiness on the site as all the old data phases in. It will definitely take a while for all the badges and point totals to appear!!! So, if you see something wacky, no worries. We are expecting weirdness on the site until about noon CST tomorrow. So, please be patient with us. We are soooooooooo excited to bring this to life!

I'm pretty stoked. Something new and exciting to shake up the status quo and make everyone feel like the are important.  Love it!

Patty, I think we all just have to erase epi's definition of "advisor" from our heads :-D  Advisor here means you participate a lot, not that you run the site :)

Badges are kind of large... but I'm a VIP so maybe I shouldn't complain!

Ohhh, I like the mouseover popups!  I just noticed when you mouse over a person's photo or their badge, it shows all the awards they have won and hits they got.  Cool

One more thing... Not sure how I could get an Advisor badge in 07 AND in 09.  Something's not right.

I don't know...I sort of like the "Advisor" title myself.  It makes me feel like one of those wise old gurus who live, supposedly, in the Himalayas and are sought out for the secret of life, the Universe, and everything!

I like the rainbow of colors on this page from all the badges.

I did not realize the badges would be year to year.  I thought you'd move up in the levels until you got the highest badge.  Yikes!  That is way too many badges that will be showing on our pages over the years.  

It's definitely very interesting to see all of the badges and that leaderboard.  Go ViewPoints!

Agreed!!  I like the new badges for sure.  Anyone who hasn't checked out the leaderboards should. 

This is all cool stuff.  I like.  Meredith and the rest of the VP staff, you done good.  You are NOT going to please everyone.  It's like I tell people,  you could be Mother Teresa passing out freshly cooked rib-eyes you paid for yourself to all the homeless people and someone, somewhere, wouldn't like it.  Even one or two of the homeless people wouldn't like it cause they thought they should have gotten a T-Bone.  So,,,,,this new change is a good one.  Thank you for making our site better, like you always do!

I'm gonna be slightly grouchy about this and say that the badges are too prominent, especially here in the forums. Considering that they are so prominent, is there an easy place to go to see an explanation of what the badges mean? For example, I don't know what a Community Liaison is.

Also, It looks like the badges are assigned based on the numbers in the current year, not overall number. (I say this because I have an Advisor badge, which is for less than 50,000 points. However, my all-time total is more than 112,000 points.) So... do we all start from scratch at the beginning of the year?

One question: how come VOTING on a review isn't incented? I would think it would, particularly since you are incenting receipt of votes.
