Have you seen it? Have you used it? What do you think? I have noticed on more than one occasion I have typed something into google and the first thing that comes back is from Bing. I thought it was MSN's answer to Google but I'm not sure.

I have been using Bing images for some time.  I love going there when I'm looking for a picture for the primary photo for a review or other pictures for a movie review.  Up until about a month ago it was a different name and then all of a sudden one day I went to the site and noticed the name change.  You know how many of the reviews have a Primary photo box that says "Image coming soon?"  Well, I have located a lot of the primary product image on Bing images.

Google remains my primary search engine, especially for photos.  I gave it only 3 stars.  Review?  Click here.

Rotten Tomatoes (rottentomatoes.com) is the source I use most for movie pictures. It has pictures for only the last five years of films or so, but there are usually a LOT of pictures and they are high-quality. If you look at the pictures posted with almost any of my movie reviews, those pics came from Rotten Tomatoes. (I then run them through Photoshop to crop, brighten, sharpen and adjust the size for Viewpoints.) Maybe I should try Bing...

I feel terrible for saying this, but I have no idea what Bing is. I've heard of it, but haven't followed up to check it out at all.

Have you heard of Live.com? Live.com changed its name to bing for a faster search engine and better search results. I think its better that google. I like the when they change the picture evry day.

Thanks for the info on Rotten Tomatoes.  I tried them before and had a hard time with saving images.  It seem they would let me save some and not others.

I get movie photos from Bing for new movies before IMDB even posts them.  And in the past I would search tons of sites trying to find a picture of a product when I was posting the first review on that product.  It was so hard.  Then I stumbled upon the Bing site right before it became Bing and fell in love.  Now I go there first.  Some of the official websites for a product won't let you copy the picture or save it.  Bing you just click "Save Image" and it's there.

I know there are a lot more things for Bing other than pictures but that's what I use it for.  Oh, I began using it last year when I was looking for Halloween pics for my avatar and photo gallery.

Buggheart check it out if you ever need a picture for a product.  They carry the product image as well as photos from movies, music videos, commercials and whatever other people may submit.  Some of our dance pictures from the conservatory have even been spotted there thru the years but I didn't know what people were talking about until I came to Viewpoints and had a need/desire to find pictures.

I think most are discussing Bing as Google's search engine.  As I've stated in my earlier posts.  I haven't used it as a search engine as much as I've used it to find pictures, images, etc. that might be difficult to find elsewhere.  I was introduced to Bing when the site I was using for images became a part of Bing.

I'm still thinking of that tattoo ;+)

Thanks for all the leads you guys. What I find weird is that sometimes Bing shows up when I haven't used it. Hmmm...Oh maybe if I'm on MSN it shows up unasked for.

My bad Mike.  I was trying to say Bing was a search engine (not for Google).  I had my mind on google because that is the search engine I use.  I tried Bing out last night and didn't like it.  But I will sticik with the Bing images.

I got Bing as my default home page when I upgraded to IE8. It's OK, I guess. I just get set in my ways, so I'm a googler!

I haven't used BING yet! The last couple of years I've been using Google and love it. I'll give BING a try and see I like it.

Well in just the front page alone, I like how simple Google's main page is.  I don't like images slowing down my computer when I want to search.  I love the Google Desktop I finally downloaded.  No matter what I'm doing I can hit Ctrl+Space and a google search box pops up :)  I love it

I use Bing's cash back and it's iffy. When it works, it''s the  best. When it doesn't, I feel like blowing up Microsoft. Yes, I like my cash back. lol.

I don't use teir search engine. I still rely on Google and am pleased with it.

I have used BING and the verdict is still out.  Until Microsoft offers a BING toolbar thereby making it easy and intuitive to use the search engine, I don't think it will catch on rapidly.  One of the primary reason I have used and continue to use Goggle is because the site is easily accessible via the Goggle Toolbar and gadget.  Hello Microsoft!

The latest report shows that Bing has only gained slightly on Google and their market share over the past month.  Google is somewhere around 60% though, with Bing down around 9% (Yahoo is second), so they have a long way to go still.

I think that Google makes it so easy because it's always on my toolbar. I guess I can put others on my tool bar but truly I found google to give me the best results.

Jo, too true the Tool Bar makes a big differences, but BING in my experience is a (slightly)  better search engine when searching for all things Microsoft--big surprise eh?  I have spent a little time comparing the two and when searching for technical terms and strings and BING--more often than not--returns the more useful site.

Bing looks new, fresh, and appealing as a alternative to google. But, my experience shows it just can't stand up to the search engine giant.

Humm, Brent how so?  My experience with the search tool shows that BING either matches, or exceeds Google in the search game.

I use bing and absolutely love clubbing.com (which is the bing game site). Totally free and have gotten some awesome gifts, including an XBOX system, Rockband and a Kitchen Aid mixer!

Bing as a search engine was too confusing for me and I don't like being confused.

But Bing for images is awesome!
