Huh????  I don't know what that is.

I'm going to drop in tonight but I can't stay up REAL late because my brother called earlier and I'm going out of town with him tomorrow.  He wants me to go to a friend's birthday party.  Mr. Sid is celebrating his 75th--they have been friends for years and he joined us on our last vacation.  My brother said I made a good impression on him because when he called he told my brother to bring the wife AND younger sister.  He said, "I've been talking about her and want my wife to meet her."  So we're off to Spartanburg around noon tomorrow.  That means I can't sleep until 1:30 like I did last Saturday.  I'll be able to stay up 'til about 4ish.  Who knows. 

I'll bring the movies Elf and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and we can discuss those ;+)

Oh it was so sweet of you to drop by.  I wrapped presents all evening and watched Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Wtich and the Wardrobe and the Christmas Choir. 

I love the movie "Grease."  My favorite part is where Sandra Dee is transformed into Sandy and they're at the carnival.  I love the Shake Shack. 

I wanted to let you know how my doctor's appt went today. The doctor wants to try something called "Stimulation Therapy." He gave me a DVD to watch and it explains what it is and how it takes pain away. I haven't watched it yet, but I do know it is a device that will have to be inserted surgically. I'm going to do a lot of research on it before I let someone touch me with another needle. 

The doc has increased the dosage of the Neurotonin pain medicine and subscribed Lidocaine patches that I put right on my foot.

I'll try to stay online as much as I can tonight. Since the doc has increased the Neurontin I may get a little sleepy. Maybe this will cure my insomnia. hahaha! =D

Thanks for posting about the drs. visit.  I came home early today while everyone at my office was at a Christmas luncheon.  I was so tired I kept sleeping throughout the afternoon and finally around 7ish I decided to wrap presents and that is what I did for the next several hours.  My brain wasn't where it needed to be today so I am glad that you remembered to tell me about the visit.

I have heard of stimulation therapy and had a friend who they had to do it with their young daughter.  The daughter wouldn't turn her head from side to side nor would she use her arms that much.  It seemed she had some slight "lazy" nerves/muscles in her upper spine and it produced a communication gap from brain to head and upper limbs.  Stimulation therapy encouraged her to recognize muslces she wasn't using and within about 6 months she was a "normal" toddler.

I can understand your apprehension after all you have been through.  We will just have to pray about it and trust that the Lord will give you peace and assurance on what to do. 

I can't stay up too much longer because I"m going to have to get up around 10 so that I can be at my brother's by 12.     

It's not us you need to worry about.  It's Pippi and the braided hat lady--they get into a lot of trouble ;+)  (Read some previous posts throughout the week to see what I'm talking about)

I'm already praying about it. It is weird how scared you can be of something you know nothing about. I trust that the Lord will give me peace and an understanding of this treatment.

Okay, I'm here for a while!  Earlier today or maybe yesterday we discussed a movie night at the slumber party.  I mentioned Elf and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.  So go get your pillow, blankie and all the things you need to settle in for a comfy cozy night. 

Krista, you can bring Rustie and Nicholas as long as they don't lick me ;+)

They won't be sleeping long if R11 comes!  She usually has a grand entrance ;+)  She loves to sashay across the floor and sing, oh yes!  She likes the opera stuff.

Let's hide her things!  I think it was Thursday I posted a list of rhymes and if you find the words that rhyme with them you will see some of her fun stuff or things that are connected with her.   Go on a scavenger hunt and see what you find.

I scrolled thru the pages and the rhymes were left on Dec. 10th @ 12:07 pm.  I just realized what time it is and I really need to go to bed ;+{

Strange things a child can do as told by my parents:

My oldest brother once swallowed a quarter.  The doctor told my mother he would pass it and not to worry; children swallow things all the time.  He did tell her to be concerned if he made change and passed 2 dimes and a nickel.

In college I was playing with a safety pin--bending it back and forth and SNAP--I swallowed it while it was open. Now that was going to hurt worse coming out than it did going in!  I also got hit in the mouth while wearing braces and some of the railroad ties broke and I swallowed a set of "rabbit ears" and two brackets.  Another trip to the ER.

My youngest of my two older brothers shoved peas deep into his ears because he didn't like them.  Several days went by and my mother kept telling my daddy that no matter how much she bathed Jimmy he still smelled.  It was the peas rotting in his ear.  After a trip to the ER she then understood why he didn't want Mommy washing his ears--they hurt really bad.

And me, I found a cup of bleach in the laundry room and took it into the bathroom and tried to get my younger sister to drink it.  I told her it was lemonade because that's what I thought it was.  Lucky for both of us she didn't drink it because it made her eyes burn when she pulled it to her lips.

I had twin cousins that lived with me until the summer of 7th grade and then my parents took in 3 brothers as foster children so they wouldn't be separated.  So until I was in the 10th grade we always had six and seven children in the home.  Things were bound to happen ;+)
