has anyone seen the news story about the 19 lb baby?! a mother gave birth via c-section to a 19.2 lb 2 ft long baby boy in indonesia..--- the mother had gestational diabetes.

 he was just short of the world record set in 1879 by a 23 lb baby

Wow!  That is one big baby.  Interestingly, family lore has it that my father weighed 13lbs. 9 ozs. at birth.  Considering that as an adult he never weighed more than 140 lbs I've never known quite what to make of this claim.

Yes, read the story and was amazed as to how this woman felt carrying this baby! The doctor said it was difficult getting the baby out since his legs were so big! Had to be cramped quarters for the baby also! Whoa!

This womans gestational diabetes must have went unchecked. I had gestational diabetes with my last two children and they were 8 lbs 14 ozs and 8 lbs 10 ozs.

wow, what a big bundle of joy. Guess his mommy had gestational diabetes. Glad the little man nad mom are doing good. The baby is a cutey.
