For those that buy fish online....my experience with this establishment (somethingsphishy)was costly and a heartache.  On their site they had all 5 star reviews, guaranteed healthy, quality fish so I bit! I purchased 4 fish (over $200 worth) The blue phantom pleco arrived with extensive damage to his tail and top fins,  electric blue jack dempsey arrived with an eye swollen and red, the other eye was collapsed, subsequently died 3 days later, the other 2 fish were ok, but all the fish were pale grey.  Upon arrival of the fish I immediately wrote the owner (Keith) with the condition of the fish.  He assured me that after a week they would be fine, their condition was "stress" related from the trip(FL to NY ).  I called after the EB dempsey died and had seen no change in the rest of the fish.  I ask for replacement of the EB dempsey and at least a discount on the poor condition of the pleco, which from research , this kind of fin damage isnt due to traveling but most likely poor care or fighting..  The owners response, in short was too bad , so sad, buy your fish elsewhere then or I can give you a 20% discount on your NEXT order!   Expensive lesson learned, there will be no NEXT order from SOMETHINGSPHISHY!!!!  This establishment clearly doesn't stand behind what they claim "quality, healthy fish" guaranteed.

Why did you go to them if you can go to www.AquaScapeOnline.com??? they are in NJ and there prices are much cheaper. My Blue Dempsey came from them and I could'nt be happier.

I agree with Karen! Thats the bad thing on having fish shipped, they can always claim it was fine when it left and either blame it on you or the carrier. But the BBB will get things straight hopefully, they have helped me several times. Good Luck Crystal... Ron

You should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau! That will get his attention. Karen
