I used to work for State Farm and have had State Farm Insurance my whole life. This is a great company, if you want personal service and a relationship with an agent. Our practice in our office was to call our customers and have them come in to review all their policies every year or two. This sounds like an opportunity to up-sell, but actually it is an opportunity to make sure you aren't paying too much either. (There were instances where a child moved out of the house, or a drive passed away.)

The bad part is that you can expect to receive mail from State Farm at least once a week. State Farm is not only an insurance company, but also a Bank, and therefore you receive mail regarding insurance and financial issues.

State Farm has friendly claims representatives, 24 hour access and lots of discounts. I would recommend that anyone that wants a REAL personal company, call State Farm.
...
