xiffi says "Good work, but on the slow side" about Brandon Electric Motor Repair - - Brandon, FL

Our pool motor and pump for our above ground pool decided to end it's life this summer. When you plugged it in, it would spark and cause all sorts of raucus. I looked online to fnd a new one, but the prices were a bit more than we wanted to pay. — — I found a place that repaired electric motors-even pool motors. We called them and they said to bring it in. When my husband brought the motor down, they told him they'd call in a couple days and let him know what it was before they fixed it. Four days go by and we do not hear from them, so we called them. — — This is a father-son operation. The father answers and says his son is the boss now, and he wasn't there at the time-call back in about an hour. So we call back and get the son on the phone. He says his father is working on the motor, and he's not sure where dad is in the process. — — The son calls back about an hour later, and lets us know what we already surmised-that the motor and pump are...

xiffi says "Not bad for not being a "big name" brand!" about Red Baron Classic Crust Special Deluxe Pizza

I love pizza-and while nothing tastes as good as pizza made from scratch, sometimes it just isn't viable to make pizza from scratch. Especially with the prices of food. This pizza would have cost me about twice the price to make it myself. At under $5.00, it fed the two of us, plus had some left over for a snack later. Cold pizza-another one of my favorite things! — Directions — Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the pizza from the box. Remove the plastic wrapping. I lay some foil right on the oven rack and pop the pizza on top of the foil. I can then just lift the foil and pizza right out of the oven with my bare hands. Bake for about 20 minutes. — Ingredients — Enriched flour, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese (low moisture part skim), toppings (pork/chicken sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni made with pork, chicken and beef, cheddar cheese, vegetable shortening, black olives, yeast, red and green peppers, onion, sugar, soybean oil, modified food...

xiffi says "Puts up with use and abuse in a law firm." about Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer

If you need a inexpensive black white laser printer for printing documents, the Brother HL2040 is the printer for you. This printer was used in a high volume law office to print petitions, motions, financial affidavits and everything else that has to be printed. I liked it so much, I bought one for myself. — — This printer prints a crisp document, and the high volume toner lasts for months of every day use. It is a small printer and easily fits in tight spots. The printer easily prints envelopes and labels through its manual feed slot located in the front of the printer. — — This printer also prints on laser paper and plain copy paper-even recycled paper. No matter the type of paper used, it has always printed cleanly and crisply. The printer supports up to 2400x600dpi. — — Unlike other printers I've used, this particular printer does not jam as often as some other printers, which is very important when printing high volume...

xiffi says "Even my power chewer shepherd hasn't chewed it to death!" about Kong Dog Toy

Do you have a "power chewer?" A power chewer is a dog that can chew up anything in a matter of micro-seconds. Power chewers are usually large dogs. I have a shepherd who weighs 95 pounds, and he can go through a large ham bone in less than five minutes. — — When one of my dog lists did a "not so secret santa" Christmas exchange this past year, the woman who drew my name knows about power chewers. Her dogs dwarf my shepherd. One of the thing she sent for Rambo was the Black Kong for Tenacious Chewers. It is touted as the world's strongest rubber dog toy. After four and a half months of abuse, the Black Kong still lives! — — The Kong is a 6-inch rubber tube with holes at each end. You can stuff treats or peanut butter or cream cheese in the Kong, and this will keep your dog amused for hours. Even a power chewer! A favorite is to stick cookie treats inside, then seal the ends with cream cheese or peanut butter and freeze the...
