wisedad says "It's like a part of my body now; it's a USB memory unit too" about Creative - Zen Nano Plus MP3 Player

Other reviews already talks about the advantages of this product and sound quality. What impressed me on top of those is the fact that it can be used as USB memory stick and a voice recorder. Now I can listen to music, transfer documents between computers and record my "note to self"s with just one tiny device that I carry on my arm all the time. And nice thing about memory stick function is the fact that it just skips any files that are not music files while playing but still keeps those files on memory without freezing or causing any memory/playback/software/hardware problems. 1GB memory may not be enough for a 15 year old but after your tastes are refined in life, it is plenty for both your music and the files you want to carry around with you :)...

wisedad says "Don't listen to overemotional neighbors, safety first!!!" about North State North State Superyard XT Portable Playyard & Gate

I am sure you will hear from neighbors and family (or you yourself think) that "cages are for birds and hamsters". Well first thing first: this is not a cage; this is a playyard and it is necessary for your kids' safety. You should be careful about how you introduce this product to your baby: there should be favorite toys in there at least in first few tries, you should take her/him immediately when she/he wants out and you should not keep your kid in this all the time (needless to say kids need space to play). If you use this product as you are supposed to (just to have your peace of mind while you are in restroom/bathroom or kitchen where you temporarily have no visual of your kid) it will definitely serve you and your child well. As a matter of fact, if you don't overuse it and just use it when necessary as described above, I am pretty sure your kid will want to go in it and play there himself/herself. That's what happened in our case. And if your kid likes the playyard but you think...
...

wisedad says "works wonders on diaper rash and prevention of it, but price?" about Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment Jar 14 oz

Yes, it is VERY good in treatment and prevention of diaper rash; but I still have doubts about its retail price. Its price difference from regular petroleum jelly (about 600% price difference) apparently comes from presence of lanolin (greasy organic molecule derived from the greasy coating of raw wool, precursor of vitamin D). However that might not be enough to justify the price difference because I have searched other lanolin and petroleum jelly containing products and there is still about 200%-300% price difference. Now you might say "it's not just presence, the ratio of lanolin to petroleum jelly might be higher in this" and you would be right. That's what disturbes me about this product: they have not provided the amount of lanolin in ingredient list, they just give the percentage of petroleum jelly and list lanolin (the main pricey ingredient) as "other ingredients".

So bottomline: It is absolutely doing what it is supposed to do, the way it is marketed made me feel tricked and...
...

wisedad says "pretty good (but not ultimate) containment of smell" about Playtex Diaper Genie Pail

It is very impressive in containment of smell depending on the size of the room you put it in. First it was in our daughter's room (~90 square feet) and when we used to open the door of her room after about 3-4 hours, we could feel the smell of diapers. We moved it to the adjacent (much bigger) room and we don't feel the smell anymore (it must still be there, only diluted). And when we open its lid to put a new one, it does smell pretty bad. But considering that smell and how we don't smell a thing when the lid's closed, it delivers a pretty impressive performance.

When it comes to refills, well there are (almost) always a catch in good things, right? And by now, we should all be aware that refills are how companies get you in products like these :) So we should know what we are in for and still be interested to buy in products that need sustainable use via the presence of an attachment/refill. For this particular case, I think this con is well-compensated by the pro though. I'd definitely...
...

wisedad says "not only cute but also quiet and doesn't wet around it"" about Crane Humidifier - Penguin Humidifier - 1 Gallon

I have read tens of pages of reviews about lots of different models and types of humidifiers.

I thought I should pay extreme attention to a product in which electricity and water were coming together. This was especially a potential problem in case of ultrasonic humidifiers because they are delivering high amounts of moisture without heating the water, so there is always the possibility of that cold water landing right next to the humidifier. I really wanted to avoid an electric device sitting in a pool of water, especially if that pool is going to be on my carpet... So after long and careful consideration I bought this, and I am VERY SATISFIED. It does not wet around itself, it is capable of delivering high amounts of moisture without causing that problem. It works very quietly, has a nice volume reservoir so it does not need frequent refills and it is a cute decorative addition (has different styles, we have a cow and a frog) especially for kid's rooms. We run it in our daughter's bedroom...
...
