winstongang says "An outstanding shampoo!" about Dove Heat Defense Therapy Shampoo

The first time I tried this shampoo, I fell in love! I have to be very picky about shampoo products, because my hair tends to be quite frizzy and dry. I use a flat iron and blow dryer almost daily, and my hair takes a lot of abuse. I also dye my hair every few weeks, so you can imagine the beating it gets! The price of this shampoo is great too, leave it to Dove to make a fabulous shampoo that is affordable too!

First off, the shampoo smells fabulous! It's a thick and creamy formula that creates a fantastic lather on your head. Some shampoos cause my hair to feel stripped of all oils, very very dry and nasty after rinsing, but not Dove Heat Defense! Even before I used the matching conditioner, my hair felt better, protected even. The removal of product build-up and residue is quite gentle, but totally thorough.

I used both my blow dryer and my flat iron after getting out of the shower, and my hair responded beautifully! This is a heat defense product that actually follows through with...
...

winstongang says "I can lose myself for hours on Etsy!" about Etsy.com

Ah, Etsy. My very favorite place to browse online! I have been in love since day one with this site. It's overflowing with the very best from the art world, and there are so many things to look at!

Etsy is easy to use, I sometimes use the search feature if I'm looking for a particular item, or I also love to browse through the treasury. Seeing what other people love on Etsy is especially fun! When purchasing items, the checkout is easy and fast, and communicating with sellers is easy using the conversation feature.

Selling on Etsy is easy too! The fee's are small (especially compared to some other online selling sites!) and posting your items for sale is super simple. If you ever have any questions, visiting the forums is an easy way to find an answer.

Whether you are selling fabulous handmade items of your own or are looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art to purchase, you'll enjoy Etsy!
...

winstongang says "A fabulous starter machine" about Singer Sewing Machine - Simple 3116

I love my Singer Simple # 3116! I have had a few other machines over the years, but this one wins, hands down. I love to sew, but am still very much a novice, and this machine offers everything I need. The machine has a very clean look to it, I love seeing it sitting on my sewing table!

The 16 different stitches are fun to use, and easy to switch from one to another. I love that it has a one-step buttonhole function too, as a newbie like me needs all the help she can get! The machine is very easy to thread, I have never experienced any problems there. As a matter of fact, as long as I keep my machine oiled and dust-free, I never have any problems! If you need to move the machine, there is a handy handle on the top, allowing you to carry it with ease. I also love the hidden storage compartment near the bobbin, I keep extra tools in there!

If you are looking into purchasing your very first sewing machine, or even just want a simple machine, this is the model for you! The price is affordable...
...

winstongang says "Not happy at all." about cvs photo center

I recently heard about CVS photo labs, and thought I would give them a try. I spent about an hour selecting all my favorite digital photos of my kids, and uploaded them to the CVS site. Checkout was a little confusing to me, but a quick call to the customer service line cleared it right up. I submitted my order, and was told that they would be ready by 11 a.m. the next day.

When I picked up my photos, I was in a hurry and didn't have the time to look through all of them right away. Boy, I wish I had! As soon as I flipped through them, it became glaringly obvious that they had cropped ALL of my photos. And not in a helpful way- they cut people completely out of the pictures! I had about 10 copies of the same photo uploaded so I could share the nice posed pic of my kids with friends and family. They cropped it SO close to the sides, and cut my oldest sons head completely off!

I called the store that evening, and spent about 15 minutes trying to explain the situation to an ill-mannered employee....
...

winstongang says "A good alternative to cable" about Clearwire

I've had Clearwire for nearly 6 months now, and have had mixed feelings about the service. I had to buy the modem outright instead of renting it, which cost about $100 out of pocket. I signed up for the $29.99 per month service, so my price will not increase after any trial period (this seemed like the best value to me).

When the box arrived, it was quick and easy to set up. However, I did have to move my computer across the room to pick up a better signal. Even in its current location (right in front of a window), I lose signal at some point everyday. It usually comes back quickly, I just have to move the modem an inch or two to the left or right. My mom uses this service also, and her modem sits at 4/5 lights (strengh of signal) all day, mine varies from 2/5 to 3/5. When I've had tech problems, the customer service people are quick to answer, but not always knowledgeable about how to fix something. I've called three different times in one evening and received three conflicting responses...
...

winstongang says "The words perfect iron" about Rowenta Precision Iron

The Rowenta Precision Iron does it all. I used to buy cheap irons, thinking they all worked the same, so why pay more? Suffice it to say I was totally wrong! This iron surpasses all others in my opinon. I use it everyday, ironing everything from clothing to fabric.

I love the vertical steam, allowing me to steam garmets with ease. It is self-cleaning, and holds a lot of water (8.5 ounces) yet it is lightweight and easy to hold. One of it's most convenient features is the automatic shut off. If you leave the iron on and upright for more than 8 minutes, it will automatically shut itself off! This is handy, since I often forget to turn it off while I'm in the middle of a crafty project.

It stands up well on it's own, and I tell you this thing can take a beating- I have dropped it by accident many times and it's still alive and kicking! It is definetely worth the investment, especially if you do a lot of ironing.
...

winstongang says "Happiness in a bar of soap." about Dove Go Fresh - Energize

Where to begin? I have loved Dove soaps since I was a child, it was (and still is) my Moms favorite brand of soap. I have long used their unscented beauty bars to wash my face with, and have been very happy with them, but when I saw the Dove Go Fresh- Energize, I knew I had to give it a try. I could smell the fabulous grapefruit and lemongrass scent right through the box, and was captivated. I wanted to walk around the whole store smelling it!When I tried it for the first time, I fell in love with not only the scent but the invigorating little scrubbing beads. I use this everyday when I shower, and I love that the fragrance stays on my skin. It really does help me wake up and get going in the morning! I love that Dove offers great beauty bars at affordable prices. They say you get what you pay for, but in this case you really get so much more! I would definitely reccomend this beauty bar for any one looking for a fresh, clean scent.
...

winstongang says "A fabulous, well-priced floor fan." about Lasko 20 In. Cyclone Power Circulator with Remote Control

I am definitelyall about keeping cool! Having a fan or two in my home is a very important part of keeping cool, especially in the hot summer months. My very favorite fan is the LASKO 20 In. Cyclone® Power Circulator with Remote Control. How cool is the remote control? I love that I can adjust the intensity of the fan without getting out of bed. I have a very small air conditioner that really only keeps my living room clean, so having this fan in my bedroom is a must. If you don't want to sleep all night with the fan on, this model has a handy timer feature. It allows you to choose from 2, 4, or 8 hour blocks of time, whichever works for you. The fan is adjustable, and rotates up or down about 90 degrees. A handle on the top allows for easy carrying, and the fan is relatively lightweight. The fan is attractive and small enough to not dominate whichever room it is in, like some of the large box fans do. Don't let that fool you though- the power this thing puts out is intense!
...

winstongang says "A beautiful and functional appliance for any kitchen." about Rival Model #SCE600-RS 6-Quart Slow Cooker

I have owned other slow cookers in the past, but this one wins hands down. As a single mom with three young kids, crockpot meals are easy and quick and frequently end up on our menus. I love the large size of this model- it will hold meals to feed 7-8 people, but I as I often include vegetables with our pot roasts meals or something similar, the extra space is needed. My crockpot lives on my kitchen counter, so the fact that this model is totally gorgeous definetely helps! The stonewear crock is removeable (handy for pot luck suppers) and is dishwasher safe making clean up a breeze. Even handwashing (which is what I always do) is super easy, taking only minutes. There are three heat settings, a low, a high, and a warm. The warm setting is new to me, and is very handy. Sometimes the side dishes are not quite ready when the main course is done, so I like to set the heat down to warm, to prevent overcooking and getting cold! Overall, the crockpot is definetely worth the price, and would be...
...

winstongang says "This vacuum is perfect for homes with small children!" about Bissell Powerforce Bagless

Over the past few years, I have tested many different vacuum cleaners in my quest to find the perfect one for my family. My ideal model needed to have a long power cord so I could maximize the amount of carpet I could clean in our apartment without having to change outlets. I also wanted bagless model, because I hate changing bags! And finally, it obviously needs to be powerful, cleaning up after my three kids is a big job! When I purchased this vacuum, I was pleased with the ease of putting it together. Within a few minutes, I was plugged in and ready to go. The cord on this model is 24", which allows me to vacuum the living room and hallway in my apartment before having to unplug and move. This model is also bagless, and emptying it is quite easy. This comes in handy when you accidentally suck up a small toy! The attachments make it easy to clean in small spaces, including under the sofa and around table legs. The power of this vacuum is fabulous- my dining room is also carpeted...
...
