So crispy and flavorful and not at all that bad for you. I will frequently eat a handful of these with some almonds or a slice of cheddar for a satisfying afternoon snack.

I was afraid the fibers in this mascara would create a really heavy artificially look but instead they give you perfect, thick, long lashes. And I have had no clumping or smudging problems. Plus the clean up is super simple. Warm water rinses the mascara off with no tugging or rubbing which helps protect your delicate eye area.

Gets my skin clean without any tightness or dryness. I bought the large bottle for around $10 and it has lasted me forever. I really think this is one of the best cleansers available regardless of price. And it's soooo inexpensive!

I was lucky to receive this as a gift and have been using it through the end of summer fall transition. This cream has a great texture and has provided great moisture to my dry skin so far. I'm always a little wary to try new face creams because several ones I have tried have given me a rash but I'm happy to report I haven't had any negative reactions to Hope in a Jar. My skin texture seems to have improved a bit but I wouldn't say that there have been any dramatic difference. I think people should really think of this more as a basic moisturizer rather than an aging treatment.

I received my Crockpot for my birthday several months ago. I started out with simple stews which were wonderful to come home to after a long day of work but I've found some great modern cookbooks with recipes I have made for company too. For any household where everyone has a day job but likes to eat at home I would recommend investing in a Crockpot.

I very much like the design of Real Simple magazine and have bought it on several occasions because there is an article I am interested in reading but I always find myself disappointed with the content of the magazine. I am hoping they will have innovative ideas on organization, cleaning, cooking, etc. but the advice is basic and obvious. There was a recipe for pink lemonade which involved pouring store bought pink lemonade in to a pitcher and adding sliced lemons. If you ask me no one should pay $4 for a recipe like that.

My scalp gets dry and itchy in the winter and this shampoo has been doing a great job of keeping the winter itch at bay. Unlike typical dandruff shampoos this has a very nice scent. There is no weird medicinal smell just a light ginger scent. It also lathers up nicely and gets my hair clean without being too harsh. If you get an itchy scalp in the winter from all the drying indoor heat I highly reccomend this shampoo.

This is by far my favorite laundry detergent. The ingredients are all natural, biodegradable, not tested on animals and it has a wonderful light lavender sent. In the winter my skin gets very sensitive to harsh and chemical ingredients in laundry detergent and fabric softeners but I have never experienced any problems with any Ecover products. It also does a good job of removing stains. I do pre-treat spots with Ecover Stain Remover and I can't think of any stains that haven't come out. I highly recommend it!

Heidi Julavits has written a fascinating book about what a slippery thing the truth is. The premise is a teenage girl named Mary may or may not have been abducted in 1985, and this event (or non-event) has special relevance for Mary and those closest to her when her mother dies 14 years later. You'll keep reading (or at least I did) to find out what will be revealed about that event alone. But there's so much more going on here. Julavits' story illustrates how nothing ever happens just to one person and everyone in relation to this person effects even the possibility of the event. What did or did not happen does not matter as much as what people want to believe. The chapters involving the therapist are darkly humorous as are Mary's interactions with her sisters. I also loved the references to New England puritan prudishness and the 80's abduction mania I grew up in with the introduction of pictures of missing children on milk cartons, etc.

This is by far one of the best lip balms I've ever tried. Unlike products that claim to be natural but resemble Chapstick this actually has quality ingredients that help heal chapped lips. All of the Dr. Haushka products are extremely well made. I am a big fan of the Cleansing Cream and the Quince Day Cream. They all have a lovely botanical smell as well.
