viewpoints05 says "So much more than you expect... truly a love story." about Brokeback Mountain

The verdict is in... Brokeback Mountain is not just a gay cowboy movie. It is a powerful and passionate tale of forbidden love. Directed by Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Brokeback Mountain is captivating, moving, and truly a tremendous masterpiece. Based on a short story by Annie Proulx, Brokeback Mountain is set against the breathtaking Wyoming Mountains (filmed in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta) in the early 1960's. — Ennis Del Mar (Heath Ledger) and Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal) first meet while working together as sheepherders on Brokeback Mountain. They barely speak and spend most of their days and nights on separate mountains, tending to the sheep. One night, after drinking heavily and sharing bits of their pasts, Ennis decides to sleep by the fire instead of heading back to his tent on the other mountain, while Jack goes to sleep in his tent. In the middle of the night, after the fire died out, Jack hears Ennis shivering in the cold...

viewpoints05 says "Great color and shine... a bit pricey." about L'Oreal Feria

While this product is a bit pricier than other at-home hair color products, the conditioner that comes with each package alone is worth the price. The color is always deep and true to the box. The scent isn't as awful as some of its competitors, and the three step process is easy to follow. I am soo in love with the conditioner that comes with the hair color!! It leaves your hair soft and shiny and keeps the color richer longer. I like to use less of the conditioner during the first few shampoos and save it for when the color is starting to fade, and I'm about a week or two away from needing another haircut. It gives the color a boost, hydrates hair, and helps to conceal dead-ends long enough to put off the haircut and re-color for a week or...

viewpoints05 says "This is a must - Read the book before seeing the movie!!" about The Da Vinci Code

This thought-provoking, controversial book does a masterful job of combining real-life works of art, architecture, people, and places, with religious hypothesis and fictional characters. This is a real page turner and delight to read. However, I would strongly recommend reading the book before seeing the movie. There is a lot of background information provided in the book regarding artifacts, locations, etc., that is hard to translate on screen without seeming preachy or scripted. I think it interferes with the pager turner theme and makes the movie more lengthy and slow paced than it should be. ...
